Just announced live on Fox. I'll come back and post a link when I get one

quote:

Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky will step down as Republican leader in the Senate in November, a new report said.

McConnell, 82, is set to speak about his plans to give up the leadership post on Wednesday in an address in the Senate, The Associated Press reported.

Cocaine Mitch would rather step down than endorse DJT.
I’ll take that trade !

I guess yesterday’s attempt at strongarming Johnson didn’t end well.

Damn this is hard news to take! First, we lost our precious Mitt and now comes Mitch. This is just too hard to grapple with this morning.

So Andy Beshear to be the next elected senator from Kentucky?

Kentuckians seem to love him like Louisianaians love JBE.

Johnson's far from perfect but from what i could tell, he made it clear he knew he didn't have the votes for what he wants on the border, but he can also make sure that foreign wars could stop from being funded as well.

Excellent news. As stated in the other thread, you are witnessing the unraveling of the old guard.

Isn’t he pushing 80?

It’s time for these old guys to step away.

He and Biden can spend their time having frozen stare contests at the nursing home.

“One of life’s most underappreciated talents is to know when it’s time to move on to life’s next chapter,” he said in prepared remarks obtained by The Associated Press. “So I stand before you today ... to say that this will be my last term as Republican leader of the Senate.”

Did NOT say he was leaving the Senate.

He's not up till 2028
