If you're a young, dumb, full of cum, meat eating, red blooded warfighter, I seriously doubt a shot dissuades you from joining.

Many people of age are DQ’ed because they’re too fat to join, have medical issues, or criminal records.
I’m not sure what the waiver status would be, but I’ve heard they are not handing out waivers so easily nowadays, unlike when I was in in the 2000’s they were handing out waivers left and right at MEPS, even for minor felonies.

ETA: My niece just went into the Army and she fits the bill perfectly: Gay, lazy as frick, zero direction, barely passed high school even though she has the smarts
She said they lounge around most of the day in Basic Training.

It's purely a generational issue. These lazy arse young people don't want to work ANYWHERE, much less the military that requires actual work and sacrifice.
No. The military is a total clusterfrick right now. The wokeness is absolutely insufferable and kicking out anyone who refused the clot shot was a disaster.
On the flip side, this is a win for the left. The real goal with all of this is to purge conservative thought from the military.

Military is a total shitshow right now, starting from the top and rolling downhill fast. Wokeness has actually overtaken political correctness (never thought I'd see that).

I served. I advised my kid to not consider the military with the current leadership in place. It's obvious they don't have the best interest of the country, or it's citizens, as a priority.

The Army is looking at some sort of prep course BEFORE boot camp starts. AT least get them on a proper diet and start teaching them how to exercise.

When I deployed with 1Cav in 05 after everyone had got on the plane and the stars had moved off the Bell County Sheriff drove onto the runway and dropped off 4 of our guys.
