I’m an attorney and that’s over 50% more than I make.

What? Do you work part time for a public defender?

I'd be interested to see your definition of middle class. That will cover a mortgage, all your bills, and a nice car with cash left over to invest.
Add 2 kids and that money ain't shite.

How much they paying?
It's not just pay. The entire employee mentioned structure for trained mechanics at car dealerships absolutely sucks.

That is dumb. You show me someone that is making 120k, not in a big city area, that is barely making it and i will show you a dumbass that cant manage money.
If you by a vehicle that is 75% of your yearly income
Buy a 4000sq ft house
Have multiple expensive toys
Eat out 7 meals a week
Kids have to have the latest and greatest
Chances are you are you are not going to well financially

You people have been hookwinked so bad by the trained opera singer and former qvc host.
The guy is a shill for corporate conglomerates that want as many bodies in trades as possible to keep labor costs low. 2-300k per speaking engagement. Blatant lies about income for most of the jobs he's promoting. Vast majority of those jobs are paying well under a 100k. Many of them under 50k.

Ironically, that statement is itself a blatant lie.

bullshite.
120k is good money even in high-cost-of-living MD and other Mid-Atlantic states.

Lol, keep slopping up whatever bullshite that deep-voiced charlatan keeps feeding you.

Keep speaking of that which you know nothing about.

So tired of how ridiculously hyperbolic bullshite like this is actually accepted as truth these days.

Full time for a state agency.

That’s rough. 1st year insurance defense associates in Texas start out at around $120k these days. Government lawyers start close to $90k-$100k. Don’t know how you guys do it.
Posted on 8/8/26 at 2:06 pm to SouthEasternKaiju
#1 promoter of trades are people who don't do trade work.... Like you and Mike rowe
Posted on 8/8/26 at 2:08 pm to Turnblad85
Having listened to him for decade or more, he generally points out starting base pay, which is far preferable to going to $10’s to 100’s x K in debt, the route many go in order to attend college.
Either you are some colossal loser or you’ve got some personal beef with the guy. Don’t know don’t care.
