The Chinese psyop is just part of another psyop to stop any opposition to the original AI psyop.
As in..." anything the Chinese try to stop in the US must mean we need a lot more of it as fast as we can get it" psyop.

A lot of the anti data center movement is coordinated by someone somewhere at some level. The same narrative is happening across the country and the western world.
There are concerns to be addressed, such as water, power, etc. The fact that crowds won’t even consider the attempts to mitigate the risks is odd.

People were scared when electricity was adopted.
People said we would all die from nuclear winter.

IMO, the economic impact from unemployment is the biggest threat from AI. AI will not kill us all.

I caught briefly fox and friends. They showed the Popes comment on AI saying the warning is not fake news..

AI is just a new label slapped on cloud computing, we were building huge data centers long before AI was the current thing. And absolutely China doesn't want us developing our data centers, that only puts them further behind the technological power curve no matter how much IP theft they engage in.

AI companies currently are investigating thousands of incidents when AI agents went rogue and hacked into places they weren't supposed to, including the FCC and SEC.
Electricity never went rogue and lit up houses it wasn't supposed to, and nuclear bombs never went rogue and blew up cities it wasn't supposed to.
Everyone should be concerned about AI hacking. Think of the world's greatest hacking teams. They work in small groups and they have limitations. AI hacking teams will consist of thousands if not millions of AI agents working together. They'll start off smarter than any human hacker by a factor of at least 20 and then continually get better, and they'll never stop to eat or sleep.

The swarms are some scary shite. They were trying to get crypto and were a few weeks from possibly shutting down the internet. China is a few months behind us on controlling the possible swarms.

I thought that people around here paid attention to Elon Musk's words. Seems to be a lot of wishful thinking and cognitive dissonance from this board – "They're just saying that to get their stock prices up or something something something, I hope!"

How is it obviously propaganda? Because when people say shite like this they're making it sound as if this is something AI will just do on its own. No, that is not how this works. Could A PERSON DIRECT AI to do significant damage? Yes, of course. But this isn't something AI is going to up and decide to do.
When people say, "AI swarms could take over the internet" it is no different than blaming the car when some a-hole drives one through a crowd. "SUV plows through crowd in open market. More at 11." That's exactly how that reads to anyone who has any understanding at all how this stuff works.
And yes, the answer to the problems that AI poses is to develop better AI systems. The answers that the left proposes are exactly backwards. You do not "slow down" development. You develop more robust defense systems.

The poliboard has it all figured out. Any concerns about AI are propaganda meant to allow China to win the race or to get the government involved to pick winners. But, maybe that is the propaganda being pushed so big tech can run wild?
