No it’s not that I want to give them more, it’s that if anyone actually cared about the underlying issue, they’d be trying to reign in the militarized police force we have, not pretending like this kill switch remotely affects your freedom to drive a car more than all the other lethal tools we give to government at all levels. It’s just performance art. “Virtue signaling” nonsense. But I guess it’s the nature of our politics (and certainly this forum).
You mean like the Surveillance Accountability Act Massie submitted and has not made it out of committee?

I’d like to know as well because people who say “MAGA” republicans are the same ones who say themselves they voted for trump 3x.

No that doesn’t address anything relevant to this

Why is "kill switch" technology something which should be supported with federal funding? That should be strictly up to the manufacturer imo

Things that happened over decades are rarely reversed in an instant.
You remind me of the 300lb woman who gives up because she isnt 120lbs in 3 months

Because the federal government is going to require it in all new vehicles.

It’s always been fairly Ill defined but there are some aspects that seem to be clear-
Border security (democrats used to want this too)
Tough on crime
Lower taxes
Cut government waste
No more wars
Reduce bureaucracy
Reduce regulation
Bring jobs back to the US.
All of which are typical conservative positions and all of which Mike Johnson supports so it’s not like MAGA created some new paradigm.

I remember when Trump was talking about closing all overseas bases, securing the border with troops, and then eventually cutting the DOD budget in half. No he gets a trillion plus. That's just DOD. Not a penny of that money goes to long term Veteran benefits. The military costs us a lot more than just the DOD budget.
Edit: had to look it up. 1.9 trillion if you combine DOD and Veteran Affairs budgets.

DOD budget was already over a trillion dollars well before Trump. You also left out how Trump has always said Iran can’t get a nuclear weapon.
Nice alt btw

But... can you kick my arse? No. And I'd be willing to bet my life on it.
I grew up in and worked construction for 20 years before going to college and law school as a non-traditional student. I can build a house from the foundation up if I had to, incuding run electrical and some plumbing work. So what. Lots of people can.
Congrats to you on being halfway masculine, I guess.

Im sure a very good mechanic can disengage any instslled kill switch.
That would be true if it was a switch, but it’s not. It’s software, so no, a mechanic can’t defeat it.

No it wasn't. If you are going to debate, at least have your facts straight. It was 850 billion his last year in office. Now it is 1.15 trillion
Oh and Iran has been 2 months away from a nuclear weapon for 40 plus years.

regardless of how this bill was voted on. The bill allows technology that could lock a person out of their property which is a direct violation of the 4th amendment...
