I sure wont defend any of those assholes. Im going to hang onto my current cars as long as possible. If we have to buy something for our kids it will be low mileage used.

Ok, keep in mind, I obviously haven't seen the tech in it. But if it's internet connected, it might not need a mechanic, but a hacker. Just upload a modified firmware update that contains a dummy server address for it to connect to into it.

The tanks are for SWAT. But yeah they do have something that constitutes a tank. It's technically an armored personelle carrier. But it's bulletproof and can drive through a house.

Not the same. Seat belts are a safety feature in routine operation of the vehicle.
A "kill switch" comes into the safety discussion only in the event an extreme maneuver is required to avoid a catastrophic accident, or it can be an elective addition to prevent vehicle or data theft.
