When the P5 conferences decided China Virus was only contagious in non conference games and then cancelled them it shut down athletic departments that depend on P5 revenue to fund their programs.

Just another stupid move by The P5 spineless cowards.

Makes sense.

And hate to see the MAC shut it down for 2020.

I wonder if all the high profile players, coaches, leagues, and partner-media realize how much long-term economic damage they have done to their business by going full retard on the virus and BLM.

I'd bet Biden's last functioning brain cell that there will be a line of professional sports leagues and maybe even college sports looking for bailouts before this is all said/done.

They can suck a fat one on bail out money . The damage to programs will be deep . Football program money pays for most other sports if not all . With lack of funds they’ll be forced to reduce coaches and staff then have troubles later trying to fill them . Silly dumb frucks

Sports writers, who would live under bridges if college football didn’t exist, are jizzing in their pants right now

They don't realize it... yet.

You can bet they will soon, though. I mean, I fricking love some LSU football but lighting up TS for George Floyd and BLM was a pure pandering move, and if they let that shite bleed into whatever regular season we might have, I'll be fishing a lot on Saturdays and it won't bother me one bit.

I watch sports for sports, not for divisive propaganda and partisan politics.

I've said it before: I think one possible blessing in disguise from COVID is the realization by normal people that we don't NEED sportsball. It's a trifling entertainment, and can and should be tossed aside when weighed against important things.
