Trump will conveniently do nothing to support those electors

Why would he? If he has any brain or self control, he’s run as far away from this type of thing as possible.

And what would “support” look like in this context?

Has this been established or did they cite the lawsuit?

Here is the document

No reference to the lawsuit or any conditional status. They state they ARE the electors, "duly elected and qualified" from Michigan

He called for this type of action, some of his supporters delivered and are now facing charges. Trump doesn't give two shits about his Pawns, I mean "Patriots".

It’s not illegal. It should be disqualifying from an election standpoint to serve in Congress though.

None of this is going to matter. He's the Republican nominee. That's all there is to it.

Because no one should want anyone who fricked a Chinese intelligence officer to be a member of the United States government.

Let's not pretend these were a bunch of elderly rubes having a little fun. These were all well connected members of the GOP in Michigan. Many of them were the GOP electors who would have legally cast votes if Trump had won. A couple of them were named as plaintiffs in lawsuits seeking to overturn the election. Almost all of them hold, or have held, political offices as members of the GOP.

Non withstanding… what actual chance did this have of success?

Remember… this was a laughingstock matter before this.

What were the chances. And why the non real concern about it till now?? Because last week this was nothing.. now.. all this sudden this was a near upheaval of the US election.

But I understand.. you need to defend the political hack. And you need to help the narrative today that tries to cover the absolute damning testimony today about hindrance of a major investigation that shows the current president can be compromised.

You know…. What was a REAL concern only a few years ago.

That depended on whether they could convince Mike Pence to go along with their conspiracy, and whether the violence he was fomenting could help Trump retain power.

In retrospect once Pence said he was out then there was no chance. But if he had been a bit more like Trump, who knows what they would have tried.

Considering that did not happen and was never even a remote possibility in reality....

This is suddenly a super-serious crime that must be pursued three and a half years later?

Mmk.

Is Trump being politically persecuted - yes or no?

Maograth’s response…quote:
No, he’s a dumbass that brought all of this upon himself.

To which I followed up with:
Did you (do you) believe in “Russia, Russia, Russia” as well?

To which YOU replied:

I have no idea what you mean by this.

So none?

Again. After the last again. If this was such a near miss of possible cataclysmic upheaval in democracy…

Why was this not on the radar for years? Why not last week? Why just now? Why was it zero concern last week….. but grave concern now?

Y'all are seriously trying to rewrite history here. Trump himself tried to persuade Pence to go along with it up until that very morning on Jan. 6.

Pence didn't issue that statement that morning for no reason.

But it didn’t happen. And it wasn’t close to happening. Since you insist on taking the word of Pence… Pence denied giving it second thought.

Again. After the last again’s again…. WHY was this a non issue up till this week? radio silence.

NOW the defense of the partisan hack has to commence and try to imprison elderly people for something that didn’t stand a chance of succeeding. Why was it not being breathlessly discussed till now?

I mean… you folks are claiming this was almost the cataclysmic destruction of democracy now. Just last week they were “larpers”.

This is why people don’t take you seriously. You’re not bothered by a Congressman banging a literal Chinese spy but you’re livid that Trump had random documents of indeterminate value in his home.

It shows that this has nothing to do with national security and everything to do with politics. You’re a bitch.
