I saw this earlier. These two begrudgingly admit that the movie is based on a kernel of truth, but then in the same sentence, he says that the movie is created out of bogus statistics and fear. Doesn't mention what those bogus statistics are, or anything of substance, just a rhetorical sleight-of-hand, mention QAnon to automatically discredit and disqualify.

And then, get this, in a sarcastic, mocking tone of voice, he dismisses the idea of 'child trafficking rings that are run by the high-level elites' as a baseless QAnon conspiracy theory. How can anyone mock that idea in light of Epstein? Literally that's all you would have to say to shut this smug know-it-all down.

And this is what passes for mainstream consensus opinion these days. A concerned face interviewer, oh, it's just QAnon stuff, we can ignore it, they're a bunch of tinfoil hat crazies.

These people are so wrong. And they're so smug and righteous about it. They think they're better than us.

I don't agree with this at all. I believe this line of thinking does more harm than help.

People on the left do not want this movement to gain traction because it legitimizes the Q movement, which greatly benefits Trump in the 2024 election cycle.

This is about politics, not an inherent desire to see kids trafficked and sexually abused. If the movie is true and that can be backed up in a way that breaks through into mainstream consciousness, it will not just win the election for Trump, it will affect the balance of power significantly in the legislative branch as well.

An astute political strategist on the left (with zero moral integrity) would not be doing their job if they didnt seek to discredit the movie any way they can. This does not mean they want to have sex with kids.

Sex trafficking is a serious issue. I volunteer at a shelter that helps victims. The emotional scars they carry are with them for the rest of their lives. I don't see how anyone can fail to understand the seriousness of this problem.
