Police Chief just said the officer confronting Brown was NOT related to the robbery. So yes, the robbery was irrelevant.

Why is that funny? The guy just said the officer was not aware of Brown being the suspect when the confrontation began.

Its hilarious that this is where all of you libs are heading, almost to a T
Not getting into y'alls whole argument, but NC is far from a lib.

You sure he was shot in the back?

I wonder what his juvenile record looks like. Kids just dont start strong arming convenience stores for swisher sweets out of the blue. I add it has no bearing on the case, just would be curious.

Do you not see which variable you are leaving out of that statement?

It was more general in nature. Wasnt necessarily calling him one honestly.

Breaking: AP
Police Chief: Officer who shot Michael Brown did not know he was a robbery suspect at the time.

But Michael Brown knew he was a suspect when he went for the officers gun.

We're on a political discussion board. Everyone is a partisan back to a degree. Still don't see how that is funny.

The fact that they there's video evidence that the witness and the dead kid together participated in a robbery just a few hours before their encounter with law enforcement is completely relevant in a discussion about their perception of the police officer's intentions and their reaction to being confronted by a cop and the validity of the witness account.

Because it doesn't much matter if Brown believed they were coming for him following the robbery

I don't care, I'm just reporting news. Most of you consider wnd, Ulsterman Report and The Blaze "news". I'm just trying to shine a little light for you.

Yep. I actually makes more sense now. Brown thought he was being stopped for the robbery and was on edge. The officer had no clue and was taken by surprise by Brown's actions.

Because you said the robbery wasnt relevant.
You are not interested in the truth. You are just interested in fitting in things to fit your political narrative and I find that extremely funny. Sorry, especially when folks are do not have enough self awareness to see the way they are.

Absent your response, I see a few other posters have addressed my question.
Even if the cop didn't know about the robbery, Brown and his friend did. And that completely changes their mental state upon being stopped by the cop.
