I don’t disagree that he should stay off twitter, but he definitely shouldn’t sign off on this if it requires his signature.

Unless the Florida government has cost him these legal bills?

He could have said, "I agree in sentiment, but this is impossible for xyz reasons". This really just summarizes his campaign and everything preluding his run.

He's one of the most obtuse politician in the current political climate.

Governor who supports small government isn’t going to use the government as a weapon. More news at 9

So he should articulate that instead of leaving it up to an interpretation that he may just be bitter he got to wear his arse for a hat in an election that may have ended his political aspirations.

He’s the Governor, what do you expect him to do? That’s what a leader does. Tells you what he’s going to do, and then do it. Everybody’s supposed to walk on egg shells with Trump, just to avoid one of his temper tantrums. What a child.

Trump didn’t write the article you cry baby.

Nothing is ironic about it. Trump is a former President and GOP frontrunner/nominee.

The other one wasted 30 million to lose by 30 points and drop out after the 1st race. I think one of the two knows a bit more about how to use Twitter and public messaging to his advantage.

If Trump is a billionaire then he can pay his own legal bills. He already has $250 Million he made out with from "Stop The Steal." Additionally, the reason why the RNC has barely any money is because Ronna has been using a good portion of it to help pay his legal bills.

Looks like Ron! isn't done killing his political future just yet.

The only political future that will be killed will be Trump's when he loses to oatmeal brain again in November.

My goodness, talk about mental gymnastics.

Trump loses a General Election to a dementia patient and goes out of his way to hand the Democrats control of the Senate. MAGA still embraces him. Kari Lake-Abrams loses a General Election, and MAGA still embraces her. DeSantis drops out of a primary? MAGA says his career is over.

Why are you so upset?

Trump is a billionaire. He can handle his own legal bills. And if you want to pay for virtual Trump trading cards to help fund his legal bills, you are more than welcome to do so.

Few prospects are scarier than facing the the government in court, due to the limitless funding it has. Legal reform is long overdue.

So, he should lie, and tell people what they want to hear. A wink and a nod, like the Democrats do.

Do you want people to lie to you, or do you want people to stand on principle and govern that way.

Ask yourselves this. Who gets to pick and choose who’s the victim, and deserves the bailout?

If you let something like this fly, have fun paying off all of those Gender Studies student loans.

Remember what they say about letting the camel’s nose under the tent. You’re going to wake up next to a camel.

There's no evidence of that. Ironically, Trump's Senior Advisor, Chris LaCivita, is one of Paul Ryan's closest friends and ran his PAC while he was in Congress.

Lol. No. Florida taxpayers should not pay for the legal fees of any candidate.

That should be on the supporters of that candidate.

Dig deep Trump folk.

I have low tolerance for coat tail riding turncoats. Just my code of honor.

I absolutely hate turncoats and backstabbers, it's in some people's DNA, either you have or you don't.

A code of honor that calls on taxpayers to pay for a billionaire’s legal bills.

He won his first election in a blue wave year (D+7 environment) and in a state where Trump's approval rating was -4.

He won his second election in a landslide, turning a purple state bright red, and is the reason we control the HOR.

The only one who has ever ridden coattails is Trump. Aside from Jill Stein playing spoiler in the swing states, the other reason he won in 2016 was because Pat Toomey, Ron Johnson, Marco Rubio, and John McCain outperformed him by significant margins in suburban counties in their states. He road their coattails. Without their help, he would've lost to Hillary.

Because the governor of a state is not signing off on the use of taxpayers' money to foot the legal bills of a billionaire politician who has used tens of millions in donations grifted from his fans for the same purpose?

Exactly. I imagine one of the republicans that wrote in legislature a letter to Meatball to carry his arse back to Florida months ago. One of the many that didn't endorse him, suggested this.

Imagine if they FBI raided Meatball's mansion and lied and screamed about it. And Trump or anybody----then announced they were running for President and didn't blink an eye about the FBI raid...

I would not be as gracious as Trump was with him yesterday. But for the sake of the country Trump has the diplomacy that Paul Ryan and the Big E claims they have.

In what world would Trump even pass a means test for help?
