And that makes Alaska with is cold water, stormy ports viable for large scale first world level trade? And not to mention its separated from the mainland by increasingly unfriendly Canada.

Maybe you are not as smart as you think you are.

That and Texas alone has a larger total economy with a GDP 15% higher than all of Mexico.

Sounds like solid evidence to consider this an invasion and switch to real ammo.

None of this would be a problem if Mexico got their side of the fence in order.

Are they not humiliated by these corruption issues, economic and infrastructure problems, etc?

And maybe you’re forgetting about the vast, untapped resources in Alaska/Anwr…. larger than anything else in n America, that is certain

True, but to bad its in remote, sparsely populated areas that make it relatively expensive to extract, transport, and process even with existing pipelines. And you still have to get it to the mainland-- cheaply to make it market viable in todays eco environment.

Far easier and cheaper to tell Cali, allgone, and the peoples republic of Washington, bye but San Diego stays.

Counter offer: they build wall and pay for it but we keep Utah, Nevada, Texas. They can have the rest

I want the Trump administration... if this shite continues to get out of hand, especially with all the June 14th nationwide shite they are planning...to let American citizens come out and fight these MFers. Battle it out.

We've been invaded and we have enemies on our own soil calling for this country's destruction, carrying out violence, burning and vandalizing our cities... and we have almost an entire national political party--one of the only viable two parties--that is sanctioning it.

This is fricking war. Period. So... if they want war so badly, let us war. frick it. I'm ready as soon as we have the green light and I don't have to worry about being arrested and put in prison for life for defending my country within the the borders of my country.

The frick is Canada going to do. Their entire population is not much more than just one of our states... and they rely on us for military protection.

Before it was our land, it was in Mexico’s land. Before it was their land, it was Spain’s land. Before it was Spain’s land, it belonged to some Indians. Before those Indians, it belonged to the Indians that those Indians stole it from. And before that, it probably belonged to the first people who walked over the ice bridge.

And while we're at it, I think the Visigoths would like to have a word about their claim to modern Germany.

Everyone has a claim to land. Every strip of land has been forcefully taken at some point from the people who owned it previously. As they say, possession is 9/10 of the law and ultimately you have to defend your territory from those who want to take it; regardless of their claims or justifications. Modern society is insulated from the reality of war to the point of not understanding why it occurs in the first place.
