Carlos owns 100s of companies throughout Mexico and Latin America. He owns pieces of phone companies, all of Tel Mex, and some in SW US. He owns Bank of Mexico. You want to communicate or launder, he has you covered. Consider....

Know the vitriol the NYT was spewing towards Trump the first election, know who the largest shareholder of the parent company of the NYT is?
Its as if they did not want the border patrolled. When Trump won Carlos net worth dropped a few billion.....no one knows how much of his "other" businesses suffered.
I bet if you followed the rabbit hole, a lot of this protest money against ICE is coming from entities associated with Carlos Slim.

Carlos is the reason their cellphone industry and service is so bad. Had a monopoly for years and like all monopolists, had poor products, high prices, and crap service

Because the cartels are so powerful, any president must at least play along. They may say tough things publicly, but privately it is a different matter. If they want you dead, they can pay someone on the inside to do it.
