Please don’t crucify me for this take poli board because I’m as MAGA as they come, but I think he received so many votes because at that time republicans were shaking in their boots over 1/6 and went along with whatever the Livs wanted.

not an unreasonable assertion, otherwise he might have "only" gotten 65.

What’s funny is how dirty these swamp fricks are. What is now equally funny is how they don’t know yet how Elon is going to put them out of a job. He just staked his entire fortune on it.

Holder was confirmed 75-21.
Janet Reno was unanimously confirmed.

John Ashcroft was confirmed 58-42

Merrick Garland has been politically motivated to the max. An absolute partisan hack.

Garland is a permanent government shlub. He would ensure power remains in the hands of the permanent government. So uniparty had no problem voting him in.

Gaetz is someone promising to overturn things. So there will be a constant stream of "dirt" leaked out against him, from the Intel agencies to the msm. And all uniparty will denounce and reject him.

Uniparty will ensure that only pro permanent government shills become the head of major agencies. Will probably see intel agencies and msm turn up the pressure on a lot of trump's appointments. Wouldn't surprise me if some of those appointments get spooked and step down themselves.

There’s corruption no doubt. But just because one politician doesn’t get the approval of congress doesn’t mean I’m losing my sh!t. If every person just got rubber stamped in that’s where I’d have a problem

Did you not read the post about all thr Democrat AG nominees that got overwhelming GOP support?

What the hell sort of logic are you using?

I really don’t care what their motivation for voting for Garland was.

The fact is that 20 of those sonofabitchs voted for Garland and he’s been as partisan of a fricking AG as I’ve ever seen, so there should be no hesitation to vote for Gaetz.

It's inexplicable the Recucklicans confirm all the Woke and radical Dims but the current Recucklicans question Trump's cabinet nominees.....makes no sense.

if someone's actions are illogical look for a motivation other than what you've assumed.

When you have found the motivation that makes the actions logical, you have now solved the puzzle.

So did any of those Dem nominations affect those senators or their friends directly? Were their any corruption investigations by the DOJ into anyone but Menendez? How about pharma, health, or MIC donors? How about any NGOs on the border?

Might that be a reason, with some horse trading, to approve their nominations?
