I'll agree to only let women vote on abortion if you agree only people that pay income taxes can vote on Govt. spending
^ This.
And if that were to happen and there was a women only election to settle the abortion issue, it would most likely mot go the leftists way. Turns out abortion isn’t as popular with women as leftists believe.
51% of women consider themselves to be pro-life.

It’s the pro life part of your subject, but maybe you think a fetus is just body tissue that only magically becomes a life when the woman gives birth.
The govt overreach was what the Supreme Court did to 10th amendment when it created a right to kill unborn life using the 14th amendment which was ratified 100 years before Roe created this “right”. Roe and subsequent rulings enforced a long federal judicial process to make changes to state abortion laws including ones based on current medical science and even ones wanting to regulate abortion clinics in same manner as outpatient or other medical clinics performing medical procedures. This ruling corrects Supreme Court’s overreach with Roe.
I am sure it’s adjustment now that you can’t just look the other way and believe your kid getting aborted is 100% on the woman and has nothing to do with your indirect or even direct pressure, but this was always the case regardless of what the men who wrote Roe said about it being 100% on the woman.

You have to keep in mind that only about 10% of them have a deep moral issue with abortion, 10% care about the constitutional aspect of it, and 80% really only care about the left taking the L.

Yea, man. 80% of pro-lifers are only pro-life because it means the left takes an L. If the left was pro-life we would be all about murder. Idiot.

They already do. Go murder someone, you’ll face murder charges in that state. You’ll stand trial in a state court and serve time in a state prison.

States’ rights. Anything that gives the federal government more power is always bad. Anything that transfers power from the federal government to the states is always good.
The constitution was meant to limit the federal government.

Why should some bureaucrats from California be able to cast a vote on what is legal is Mississippi? Why should some bureaucrat from Alabama be able to cast a vote on what is legal in Massachusetts?
Should bureaucrats from Iran be able to cast a vote on what is legal in Israel?

That’s a child, a human being, in that womb they are killing….they can’t fight for themselves I gladly stand beside many others and fight for their lives….we won a battle today.

It seems that most people hate government intervention until it misaligns with their views though.
Of course they do. No one gets all upset in arms until it offends them.

Why are men still able to vote on this type of shite. Ive never been pregnant or had a uterus. Why the government overreach?
This is where we hit a slippery slope. What if the father wants the child. He was 50% a part of making it. If there are no health concerns with the mother or baby, and it was consensual sex and he is willing to take full custody, why should the woman get to decide that's not his right. It goes both ways.

For fricks sake, is this the poli board 2.0?! Why can’t we have light hearted threads on here anymore? Every single thread in the first page and probably the second is political.

Ever heard of the 10th amendment?
Nowhere in the constitution was the right to an abortion ever granted. Roe v Wade was an unconstitutional overreach thay gave the federal government powers they should never have had. It always should have been a state by state decision

You idiot; this is literally taking away federal government intervention. We are anti Fed boi here in the OT

There is difference, I don’t agree with murder. I believe in human rights that begin with a heartbeat. The gov should protect kids from being killed not fund the killing of kids.
This is not a religious issue for me either, it’s just common sense as a human to believe that the heartbeat means the baby has its own set of rights that should include not being killed.
Will crime go up bc of this? Yes. But I don’t think we should kill babies to avoid crime, we need to figure out a better way than that!

Jay Are in for the shite hot take with zero basis in jurisprudence.
Point out where the Tenth is superseded by a constitutional amendment.
I'll wait.

The extent to which you vile, fallen people equate abortion to any mundane act of liberty like going to church, buying what you want to buy, etc is despicable
stop with the ridiculous euphemisms
