Remind me. If I’m young and my education is shite because of Marxists infiltrating our society, what generation allowed that to happen under their guidance and “leadership”?
Most Boomers are fine - their biggest sin was thinking that things would fix themselves eventually, making them complacent when the Marxists started growing their roots. But the good 80% of them are NOT to blame for the sins of the younger generations in their 20's and 30's, wearing onesies and drinking from their sippie cups. At some point you have to man up.

It's critical the generations behind the Boomers understand this^^^ and reject the Marxist/Socialist and Wokeism indoctrination they have been subjected to for over 40 years. I was in high school in the 70's and the Marxist/Socialist/Woke ideology was just beginning to rear its ugly head and you either accepted the download or rejected the download. What saved the majority of Boomers from being negatively influenced with leftist BS is most Boomers didn't go on to college, probably less than 30% of Boomers attended universities so they were not influenced to the degree the folks under 50 were to the leftist teachings of progressive university professors. Something else the younger generations had to deal with was the new crop of university indoctrinated educators who were coming into our K-12 educational system in the late 70's and early 80's and it's only gotten worse.
The other thing I've noticed in this thread is the reluctance of younger Americans to accept any responsibility for the sorry state of the union. It's very easy to blame the prior generations for the current issues facing the nation but today it's we the people who are putting these corrupt and inept politicians into high political office.

It's in every single thread about boomers.
"Boomers suck, boomers have all the power."
"Who keeps voting for them?"
"Mumble mumble, boomers suck!!!"
Signed,

quote:I don't think it's Gen X that much. Most of us kinda saw the descent into chaos through adult eyes, and it really seemed to pick up speed under Clinton. We're old enough to know/have known dozens of WW2 vets and the weird uncles who were in Nam, too young to understand what they went through and what it means to be drafted and thrown into a jungle with people shooting at you. But we learned eventually. We weren't crying on 9/11 because the TV was on the news and not on Barney. We were wondering what was next to fall. We were old enough to appreciate the value of electing a black POTUS, and terrified as that value was bastardized and abused with the installation of a pure devil in that Trojan Horse in 2008. We pulled for the white boxer because he was white, our black friend pulled for the black boxer because he was black, and we didn't hate each other or need counseling afterwards - besides, we still liked Mr. T the best on A-Team and Arnold on Diff'rent Strokes.

These kids don't have the thick hides that we have. They are down to a single layer of skin where everything hurts them to their bones... and all this was done in the name of not hurting anyone's feelings.
tl;dr: we are so f-ed.

The OP succeeded in getting a long 'discussion' going regarding generations. Generalization of one in particular. Sort of like stating all people from Texas ride horses to work.

These arguments are pointless. generation vs generation, religion vs religion vs atheist, ethnicity vs ethnicity. Alllll smoke and mirrors.
The real war, the only war that really matters is free will against total control by elites. The same battle that has gone on since the dawn of creation.

As a person now in his mid 30's, I fall right in the middle of this debate. I am sick of hearing people blame everything on the boomers, as I was raised by "boomers" who couldn't be any different from what most people describe, when they think of that generation. I also think it is true that the hippie ideals of many of that generation from the 60's was extraordinarily detrimental to this country.
However, the current generation has done little to nothing to inform itself, while wagging it's finger at it's predecessors for having supposedly been the driving force behind our societal decline. They have not learned from the past, and have, in fact, made things much worse.
The state of our country is on all of us. It's on the old, it's on the young, it's on the Godless, and it's on the church. Either through action, or inaction, we are all responsible in some way. The question is what are we going to do about it? Are we going to point fingers at each other all day, every day, or are we going to get our affairs in order, and put our heads together? Are we going to trust in God, or are we going to be bitter, stubborn and arrogant, all while solving nothing?
We have a lot of work to do, brothers and sisters. I'm done arguing with walls and admiring echos.

Oh this stupid shite again. There are some great people throughout all generations and there are some shitty people throughout the generations. Sadly, many Boomers such as yourself fail to understand that the largest percentage of the federal government are still Boomers and many Boomers are partially responsible for our current predicament. Many of the Boomers in Congress are too cowardly to do what they were elected to do kick the can down the road and let it fall on the backs of Generations behind them ,so spare us your fricking rant. Also my mother has 3 children 2 of which are millionaires and the other like all of are self sufficient productive members of society. My Boomer mother is taken care of by her Gen X/Millinieal children. I don't need "Boomer Inheritance" nor do many or most of the people I know my age.

You're asking people with very little political power to accept blame for policies and decisions made before they were even born.
You don't see why that sounds ridiculous to the utes?

Old people not realizing that they were exactly the same as the young people when they were young is a truism.
Perhaps less tragic than young people not realizing they will become their parents.

Not a boomer.
Just barely. He's literally a couple of years early.
He's certainly not a greatest generation member b/c he was 1 when WW2 started for the US. He's in the transitory period between the Boomers and Silent generation but would be much more identifiable with the Boomers. I mean he was literally a contemporary Boomer icon.

I said what I said. Like many in my Generation have an entitlement mentality ,and many Zoomers are softer than babyshit. Many Boomers are delusional to many of the problems they have created. Trust me there is plenty of criticism to go around.
