Ochsner is a pretty woke company, although they pretend not to be these days due to funding concerns. I'll be surprised if anything happens to him beyond maybe a brief suspension.

It may be more republicans in the surgical field but not in academics. It’s an infection of brain rot by liberals in the medical fields. Public mistrust is also at an all time high with doctors which doesn’t help

I'd guess if you are looking for an association, income would track most closely.
Surgical subspecialties, Anesthesia, Radiology, Cards, top the list and are generally more conservative.
Academics, Primary Practice (FP/IM's who don't own their own practice), Psych and Peds fall to the bottom, and are generally more liberal.

They still have a DEI administrator while many large companies did away with them. You don't really hear anything from this person anymore though. Not sure what they do exactly. We will see what happens. They are building a huge children's hospital as we speak so I'm sure they have been trying to load up on pediatric docs.

A white kid dying under the care of a doctor that espoused racial hatred would cost MUTIPLE times more than a flimsy discrimination lawsuit. The malpractice insurance folks would definitely have a lot of questions about this guy and whether they want anything to do with him.
