Rates of infections/deaths for measles were going down by the time if the vaccine. Why? Natural herd immunity in the population.
Since the vaccine came into wide use, it has been suppressed (yay). However, what this also did was killed natural herd immunity so that when you:
See a decline in vaccination compliance by native population (because of both legitimate and illegitimate concerns)
Coupled with
A massive infusion of unvaccinated 3rd Worlders
You get an uptick.
Still, the "uptick" is paltry and is only being sensationalized by the media.

This is a stronger argument to get vaccinated against measles if anything. MMR is a proven success story. If a parent refuses to vaccinate their child and the child dies, that’s ignorance and negligence.

Sorry pal, this outbreak had little to do with vaccines or antivax folks.
We had measles and other diseases basically stamped out till Joe fricking Biden and his criminal administration brought in millions of unvaccinated criminal aliens from third world shite holes to infect our populous.
ETA: MMR is a good vaccine and a must for children.

Clearly not.
But there's an almost straight line correlation with it and the increase in it.
Now, could that be the result of all the other vaccines/boosters added to the schedule? Or an increase in diagnoses by expansion of what falls into the autism "basket"? Sure.
But it can also be that just like with other drugs, certain populations have adverse reactions - which could be because of their physiology, or that combined with other environmental factors.

That Brady Bunch clip left out the more stunning part, the parents on the phone calling family and friends to bring their children over so that everyone could catch at the same time. Literally had a day of cutting up with everybody even if school day

You are forgetting an important point though. Measles were all but eliminated until the hoards of people came in illegally so why didn’t the parents get the vaccinations for entire family? Illegals or not they were allowed to get free, if I were to go to say Africa I would most certainly get proper shots for traveling there. So wouldn’t this terrible situation be laid at the feet of the parents

This is nothing new for Law and Order. When they did the episode based on the Casey Anthony murder of her daughter Kaley, the mom simply buried the daughter because she had died from measles or something else her kid caught from the child of an anti-vaxer. The anti-vaxer was the villain not the "Casey Anthony" mom.
