It would be real shitty if Slab has a personal vendetta for some reason.
Has Slabinsky ever acknowledged that Chapman was indeed alive, per the video and supporting evidence, when they left him? The interview I saw, prior to release of the video, he seemed certain that he was dead early on. Wondering if he ever commented on that. Not blaming him if he made a mistake… getting shot at, fog of war and all that. But sticking to that original narrative in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary seems very strange… except politics.

Can’t have the SEALs reminded they are a bunch of pussies who left Chapman to die on that hill.
It’s a video reminder of their shite. They’re too busy thinking about their next book or movie deal. That whole ordeal makes me pissed to my core everytime I think about it.

Video shows it’s possible he was still alive and in the fight and seals want to dispute that and cover it up because they left him there alone.
Possible? Possible? Dead men don’t fricking move! He was alive and they abandoned him. There isn’t some “possible” it is the fact.

The Air Force won't release the other Combat Controllers audio. Nor other audio. Big Blue giving Navy an assist on protection for the Seal community.

It seems that a disproportionate number of SEALs end up: (a) getting glory for poor decisions that led to extenuating outcomes (Slab and Luttrell come to mind); or (b) self-aggrandize at an outsized pace relative to other special operations units.
Two exceptions in the public eye are Andy Stumph and Shawn Ryan.
Two Green Berets have been revealed lately to be POS as well. The aforementioned Tim Kennedy, and wife-beater, Mike Glover.
The SEALs are fewer in number than Army SF, than Rangers, than Marine MARSOC but have a lot more liars and dirt bags though.

JTAC Combat Controllers are the bomb.

Gladwell did a good podcast series about the MOH last year. The John Chapman episode was the last winner profiled. All of them were great.

He seems like he sucks to be around. A complete ‘I’ guy narcissist. Like this photo right here:
Doing a reenactment of DDAY last year, he makes sure to make it all about himself by reenlisting and showing his arse. You’re there to honor the men who fought in DDAY, some of them are right there in the picture. But you make sure to take the time to make it all about you.
Idk, some may think there’s nothing wrong with it but it seems in poor taste to me. And a lot of what he does seems in poor taste.

i was sitting next to a green beret at at bar in BWI, both of us headed to the middle east in 2021. we both got pretty hammered, and i asked him his opinion on TK, and he showed me some text messages between him and some of his friends and they were dogging the shite out of him. pretty funny actually. the community seems to despise him.

Couldn't agree more.

Seals are the biggest shitbags in the special operations command

Talk about embellishing one's resume.

The SEAL Community has been overcome with liars in the public, like Chris Kyle, Luttrell, O’Neil, Bisonnette, etc.
Wait, what?
Damn, where have I been? What have I missed? Have these guys been exposed as having manufactured their stories?
That’s huge.

Thankfully he is finally getting called on his BS.

Well, either Bisonette or O’Neil is lying. They both can’t be the guy that shot OBL first. There is all sorts of speculation that neither was the first.
Chris Kyle has been shown to have embellished his story (like sniping from the Superdome and killing a robber in Memphis while pumping gas).
Luttrell grossly over estimated the enemies numbers in that ordeal and grossly under played the strategic error in even being where they were when it went down. They got sloppy and arrogant.
I’d read the article posted above by the Intercept if you are a Navy SEAL fanboy.

Ya the actual GBs aren’t fans at all. He was also just eviscerated on the “Anti-Hero” podcast which had former team members confirm his book was actually all lies.

Just finished the video and came away initially with:
1) Chapman advanced quicker than the rest and seemed to put himself in a bad spot, alone.
2) the squad leader caught up eventually but even the rest stayed behind and didn’t seem to advance
To be by yourself, emptying all the mags you have left, seeing the enemy advance on you, then resort to hand-hand combat to save your life? I just can’t fathom what that man went through
