Bass Tiger why do you think the AI wrongly stated that the price range of KC strip steaks is from $16 - $22.
It should have listed the range of $13 - $22.
Is this a liberal AI that tries to scare people?

quote:

One retailer lists "Choice Boneless Beef Strip Steak" at $15.99/lb.
Another store mentions "KC Boneless Beef Strip Steak" for $22.29/lb.
Aldi offers "Grass Fed New York Strip Steaks" at $12.99/lb.
A local meat market states a price of $16.45 for a 1 lb, 16 oz, bone-in strip steak.

but I could see prices drop down to the $8-10 range on sale.

Thatd be heaven for me. Im on carnivore and was getting ribeyes almost every day at walmart for 10.97/lb for almost a year(their older single packed steaks)...then over the past few months both walmart and aldi have jacked up the price $3/lb.

Im now on ground beef, more pork, occasional picanha. I want to know who is buying the $18/lb 3 packs of choice ribeyes. Absurd that people would pay those prices

*before yall start raining me in downvotes, im not a fricking idiot and realize that this isnt because Trump policies. People have already mentioned the smaller headcount of cattle due to drought, regs, etc. This has been years in the making

USDA Prime is $20 - $22 per lb.

I don’t eat the inferior stuff like choice.

One of the main reasons I voted for Trump was to reverse the course of meat inflation and now the opposite is happening. 4 steaks at costco cost $80 - $90 now. This will only fuel the Low T epidemic in our country when people start turning to cheaper processed garbage.

On another serious note, leaving your questionable T levels out of the discussion, what exactly in Trump's economic policies or his power as POTUS has caused beef prices to SOAR!!!!!

I have never bought a steak from Walmart, but the only steaks I ever see for $11/lb are shitty select steaks. The prices have been steady for me.

Walmart takes the multi packs of them once theyre not as fresh and then single wraps them. They are usually $3-4 cheaper than the multi pack ones. They are choice steaks and some have been borderline prime to my eyes. Walmart has good beef.

They do the single wrapped older steaks for strips and ribeyes usually

high import tariffs on Canada & Brazil won't help. That's our two largest suppliers of imported meat in the US.

I grocery shop 365 days a year. Steak has been very high since Biden was in office. Ground meat has only gone up this month. I don't know how long that will last. But until then I simply go with dishes involving chicken, sausage, fish, shrimp, pork.

If you're paying for that in say chuck roast, at $7/pound that's over 10 lbs of meat. That's a lot of meat .

I heard about this on the radio. There is a shortage of beef. Lowest numbers since 1961.

We farm less in this country than we ever did.

Democrats also want to lower our beef consumption.

In trumps first two years of his first term we saw beef decrease in price. First time since 1998.

Beef prices also increased more in 2024 then they did in 2023. If you take out that covid period of 20/21, 2024 was the highest jump in beef prices since Obama.
