You do realize that George Washington was a farmer, right? Are layers the only people equipped to be politicians in your opinion?

But MM would not win and would be a dumb pick anyway.

She’d be an awful candidate

Um, she’s a multiracial celebrity democrat. I’d say as far as their candidate, she’s 100% perfect.

She was good in SUITS (I saw her boo boo once). But pretty sure she is useless as a politician. Not sure she could be worse than the Feinstein lady.

Media idiot narcissists like her need something like this. Her forthcoming massive failure will be a huge life wake-up call for her.

Wasn't Joetato's sister pushing her for candidacy for presidency? I read that somewhere.

I’ve been told he was a rich, slave owner who married into money.

US Constitution
Article I, Section 9, Clause 8

quote:

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

The Constitution’s prohibition on titles of nobility reflects both the American aversion to aristocracy and the republican character of the government established by the Constitution. The Clause thus complements other constitutional provisions—most notably the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments—that prohibit invidious governmental distinctions between classes of American citizens.

The Articles of Confederation and many Revolutionary-era state constitutions contained prohibitions of titles of nobility and other systems of hereditary privilege. The federal Title of Nobility Clause substantially follows the Articles’ prohibition and was not a subject of significant debate at the Constitutional Convention. As James Madison observed in the Federalist No. 44: The prohibition with respect to titles of nobility is copied from the articles of Confederation and needs no comment.

Anyone who thinks that grifter would ever (a) relinquish her Duchess title, and/or (b) cut a check to the US government (i.e., to address the emolument clause of the Constitution) hasn’t followed her behavior(s). No way in hell is this chick giving up money and/or a title.

The term emolument was strategically chosen by the Founding Fathers (weren’t they brilliant?) to include any kind of payment or fees for services. It’s very broad and can even include gifts. Any money falling her (Markle) way from Harry renders her ineligible to hold office.

And if someone wants to hypothetically argue she could simply cut a check for the nobility part of her income … it would take a team of highly qualified forensic accountants to tease out what portion of the money in her pocket—to include clothing, the income she derives from using the title Duchess of Sussex, the diamonds in her engagement ring (the list is long)—comes directly or indirectly from the estates of the British Royal Family.

Markle’s worth will soon include cash payments from nobility for divorce, child support, etc.

There’s no way this (Sen. Markle) would ever happen. The people of California are at greater risk of Oprah winning the seat than they are of Meghan Markle doing so.
