re: ME will bypass the Strait

China didn’t prop up shite. China wasn’t getting oil when we shut the Strait down.

And where would the pipeline even go? 500 miles isn’t that far. So oil from UAE to the southern coast of Oman maybe?
I would also assume that the Houthi would be a problem there.

The UAE (United Arab Emirates) oil pipelines that bypass the Strait of Hormuz are operated by ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company).
Route: Starts at Habshan (in Abu Dhabi’s western oil fields/terminal) and runs eastward across the UAE to the Fujairah terminal and port on the Gulf of Oman coast (outside the Strait of Hormuz and Persian Gulf).

One pipeline is going to be complete before 2027.
New Pipeline: ADNOC West-East Pipeline (Second Bypass Line)
ADNOC is constructing an additional west-to-east crude pipeline with a similar route to Fujairah. It is often referred to as the new or second West-East Pipeline.
Capacity: Approximately 1.5 million bpd.
Status (as of May 2026): Nearly 50% complete.
Timeline: Targeted for operational status in 2027. Construction is being accelerated following a directive from Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed.
Impact: Upon completion, it will more than double the UAE’s total Hormuz-bypass export capacity

What a dumbass statement. This is you doing a very bad job of side stepping facts. Pretty damn pathetic.
Look man you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m pretty familiar with drone and anti-drone technology having operated drones in Afghanistan for a year. I worked in Africa flying manned ISR for 5 years working very closely with drones and anti-drone assets.

BTW... What decade do you think it was when SA built their first? Do you even know why they built it?
Don’t know. Don’t care to look it up. It probably goes to the Red Sea which just puts it back on boats that still have to transit choke points. Does it pump oil from all the oil producing nations in the region?
Where will this new pipeline be? How long will it take to build? Who’s gonna build it? Why haven’t they built one before? Why does everyone still use ships to move their oil?

If pipelines were a more efficient, safer and cheaper way to move the oil out of the ME it would have been done 50 years ago.
It is easier to load it on a tanker and ship it out. But what do they say? Invention is the mother of necessity.

I could give 2 shits about what you claim to have done.
Sting... look it up! Dumbass.
In fact, Helix Defense now has a smart counter-drone munition. Guess what they are calling that...

I'm not into arguing with people who have an agenda. My last comment to you today:
We all know you don;t care because you are wrong and have no idea what you are talking about nor are you willing to move past your ignorance. All of that has already been stated in this thread. For any other questions you may have, look it up princess.

Wasn't any reason to. Nobody believed they would cut their own throats by shutting the straits down and if they did, it wouldn't last long because they need it as bad as everyone else does. The pipelines are going to have to push oil uphill so that's going to require pumping stations but these people are made of money so no idea why they didn't already do this. Probably just cheaper and easier to let it flow downhill to a port.

What is the proposed alternate route

I could see them diversifying and putting a terminal further south. That would still be about 500 miles from UAE.
However, Iranian drones could still affect the pipelines and terminals.

Bibi has been floating a plan to pipe oil to Israel's coastline and send it from there.
Wonder if he is getting takers for that idea?

They stopped using so much oil so other countries could use the oil they weren't using. And they sold a bunch of their reserves.

Why wouldn’t the Iranians just target the pipeline?
Because a pipeline can be buried. They could target pumping stations and such, but those are easily defended and repaired. Even the pipeline itself is easily repaired if it is blown up. Plus, it invites reciprocal action against their much more vulnerable oil facilities.

Centcom's statement yesterday was hilarious.
As far as stocks, Trump had the statements last month about four weeks and not wanting to be Herbert Hoover. Journalist Pepe Escobar said he got word of an intel report to Trump that it gets ugly about 60 days from mid-June. Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson says some people in the know in energy say gasoline is not a problem, but we're close to a massive crisis in diesel/jet fuel with the lack of supply from the ME and the way the distillates break out.
