Mayorkas Doubles Down, Says ‘We Need’ More Migrants Amid Border Debate, Impeachment Fight

Brietbart

resident Joe Biden’s border chief says Americans need more migrants to fill jobs — even as House legislators debate his possible impeachment and the Senate considers a legislative deal he helped broker.

Mayorkas made his demand for a high-migration, low-productivity economy during a softball interview with the New York Times:

Wouldn’t it be more orderly, and wouldn’t it be responsible governance to be able to deliver a lawful pathway to fill what we have, which is a labor need, and cut the exploitative smugglers out and give individuals a path to arrive lawfully, safely, in an orderly way, to perform labor that we need? They can send remittances home. They can return home when their work is done. Isn’t that an element of a workable immigration system?

Interviewer Lulu Garcia-Navarro passively accepted his family-separating, George W. Bush-like “Any Willing Worker” pitch as she suggested the nation’s migration debate is really about how to ensure more orderly migration:

Q. So what I’m hearing you say is that you’d like to expand legal pathways in order to relieve some of the pressure on the Southern border where people come in illegally?

A. Yes, and to fulfill one of the goals of our immigration system.

Us needing immigrants is separate from us just opening the back of a truck at the border to try and grab people to become a film crew because Bobby Bowfinger has no budget to work with.

It's just an excuse. From the same left that talks about UBI because of automation. They aren't interested in more workers, they're all in on the "demographics is destiny" train. They want to make your vote USELESS.

Notice only the short ones with dark skin cross. Never the taller paler catalonians.

Weird.

We do need lots of migrants. They should be legal only, but we need them badly. I do business in many parts of America, and I can’t get people to do basic things like build fences, and do routine maintenance. I have some hay fields out west. Usually the deal is that someone takes full care of the fields, harvests and sells the hay, and I get about 20% of the revenue. I’m having a hard time finding anyone to do it even if I give them 100%.

GOP should propose the following:

Open borders, but:

No citizenship
No voting
No welfare
Not counted for apportionment

EVER

The primary goal of our immigration system has always been to control and limit immigration for the welfare of our citizens.

Not to encourage and facilitate uncontrolled immigration to the detriment of our citizens.

This is absolutely reprehensible language. Mayorkas is the son of a holocaust survivor.

Wrong. If the unemployment was 0% then you have an argument. Most of these people will seek out welfare.

Yeah we really need more low IQ, low skill third world people. There should be no government benefits for non-citizens. Zero. If they are a drag on society they need to be gone.

He seems to think so. Since you clearly didn’t watch the video in the Twitter link, I’ll give you the cliffs: Hawley tells Mayorkas he’s doing a terrible job on the border. Mayorkas pretends to be offended and drops the holocaust card. Debate over because holocaust.

Sounds a lot like “bring in people who want to work to pay for the welfare system that supports our constituents that don’t want to work. “

Did this lunatic actually recently say this, or is this an old quote?
