Matt Watson is not a fit for EBR Mayor-President

The judgement was rendered Aug. 30, though Watson, a candidate for mayor-president, said in an interview that he wasn't made aware of the ruling until he saw posts referencing the decision on social media this week.
"This is an issue that I'll resolve on my own without needing anyone else's help," Watson said.
The lawsuit was first filed in October 2019, though a ruling was delayed after officials repeatedly failed to serve him paperwork. He was finally served in March 2020, court records indicate, at his City Hall office.

I hear he was several other pending lawsuits for not paying his bills and his child support.
He was never going to be the mayor.
Have you seen his campaign finance report? The guy is living out of it.
None of the real $ people in BR have given him more than $50. They know he's a joke.

I will take a guy who was aggressive in business and had a minor set back over a woman who has been in government her entire life with no accomplishments and gives lucrative government grant contracts to race hustlers and felons.
Piazza isn’t even in the league of the run off candidates so I won’t even address his literal and figurative short comings.

If any of y’all are serious about getting rid of SWB then vote for Carter.
Watson and Piazza are a waste b/c they can’t get enough votes. Carter is old and basically a blue dog Dem but he will get some black vote (Wicker folk) and would be much better than SWB.

Explain that for me.
If you read his current employment bio, it reads like a bunch of phoney baloney. Matt sold mens suits for years around BR, and in contrary to his bio on this scam consulting claim, doesn't hold a contractors license in LA. Maybe he does baller arse business in California or New York City. If he does, why not pay his car note?

Usually your attorney handles this kind of stuff. I love how the media runs quick to a story when they can spin it to hurt his election. Free media attacks on an EBR candidate that has nothing to do with an election.

It’s really pretty simple. I don’t care what he currently does for a living. As long as he isn’t committing any crimes or doing anything unethical that could embarrass the Parish if he is elected, I consider the jobs he had prior to this election a non issue.
He isn’t campaigning on any skills, track record, or experience he may have gained from his current job. As a result, I think any efforts to attack him for the lack of transparency on what he does or who he consults comes off as an extremely desperate effort to try and discredit a very electable candidate.
And will we are at it Piazza, I would take Watson’s experience selling suits or consulting over your experience selling mixed drinks at Earl’s to young adults who still think they are at Fred’s in Tigerland.
