See, to me, the idea of them being from some far off planet doesn't really stack up. If this stuff that the Bible and Gaetz talks about is true, they have to be closely related to us in order for this to work. And it would have to be some sort of situation where their species is dying or something and the genetics program is an effort to preserve their species.

If they have developed the technology to come here from somewhere in deep space I would assume they would also have the genetics know how to just recreate their own complete DNA from scratch and birth babies in a lab if necessary. They would also likely be able to do this with simple blood samples from humans if creating hybrids is their actual goal (maybe to birth babies that are capable of living on this planet?)

It reads more to me like their species is from right here, is closely related to us but older, and is dying. Most of the abduction literature that talks about this stuff says that the "aliens", in extending their own lifespans, have lost the ability to reproduce and it is therefore necessary for their species' survival.

This i agree with you on. I think this stuff is alluded to in the Bible, but even from a biblical perspective makes no sense through an angels/demons lens. They're not angels or demons.

Yeah, I just don't see the need to involve angels who would have to literally transform their bodies to become flesh and blood just to drive around in cool UFOs and abduct humans for genetics programs. This all has a nuts and bolts, flesh and blood, component. First of all, you could argue for angels, but not demons. Demons cannot phase fully into this dimension and take in a flesh and blood body of their own. This is why they possess people rather than appear in their own bodies. Angels could do this, but why would they?

I agree. I'm a traditionalist here and think this modern religious-conspiracy to shoe horn the Bible in is silly.

Correct. I made this distinction in the other thread (which is why I focused on the biological v. ethereal distinction).

I have some theories...

According to biological history, homo sapiens competed with many other hominid species on this planet before we dominated it. We were, in effect, the sweet spot of the hominid races. We were not the smartest or the strongest, but we dominated because of our combination of being just smart enough to work together, just small enough to need to work together (but far from being the smallest hominids), etc. For example, one theory is that neanderthals were actually more intelligent and physically more powerful than homo sapiens, but they would have had to have a longer gestation period than us, and it is possible that there just simply weren't enough of them around to challenge us.

Thus, isn't there a decent chance that one of these early hominid species, perhaps being more intelligent than us but smaller and less physically capable, ended up relocating far enough away from us to stay safe and that they maybe even advanced technologically enough to be able to stay safe from us by moving into the earth? It is known that there are some spaces within the earth that have caves with roofs that may be miles high...

If aliens are actually real then I have a harder time believing they are from outer space. What is much more likely is that either a really old branch of humanity or a competing hominid species established an advanced civilization in parallel to our own and surpassed us. They could have created technology that allows them to build craft that could travel all over the solar system. They could have really ramped up their interest in us when they detected us starting to use nuclear power because if we manage to destroy the Earth with nukes then it negatively affects them as well. Makes sense as to why they would have such an interest in our nuclear weapon missile sites, why we started detecting them right after WWII ended, etc. In fact, there is very recent news about some scientists who went back and looked at telescope photographs showing very strange UAP type stuff flying around in the sky in the early '50s - before any of us launched any satellites.

Anyway, that's just my personal crackpot theory.

There are at least two regular posters here who will believe this.
