Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) said Tuesday he kept his resolution to impeach Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth a secret from Republican leaders because he did not want to “show his hand.”

quote:

“I didn’t want to show it to anybody,” he said during an appearance on CNN’s “The Source” later that evening. “I was afraid that they would do something to subvert me getting on the floor for an hour and 20 minutes and reading these articles.”

Massie told host Kaitlan Collins that he had “not heard” back from House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) about his resolution, noting the GOP leader has “48 hours” to call a vote.

quote:

The lawmaker lost his primary reelection bid to Trump-backed challenger Ed Gallrein (R) in the Bluegrass State’s May primary. Hegseth traveled to Kentucky ahead of the GOP race to campaign for Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL.

I wonder why

She called out these fakes back in 2023 and they are all now being exposed so they are desperate because they have nothing left

The Ron Paul Libertarian Communist party has been acting since 2023 and it's all finally coming out

It’s clear that likely over 90% of these people in Congress have no interest in doing their job on behalf of the people and it’s all about their own self enrichment. The shame on us and for us as voters is that we so often fail to hold these people accountable and boot them out of office when they repeatedly do things that aren’t in our best interest. Fortunately, in the case of Thomas Massie he was booted out of Congress, and unlikely to ever return. The sad thing is how many more people are there like Massie, just in alternative forms that aren’t serving our interest and are only serving the interest of the folks who buy them.

I regret that I have but one upvote to give to your observation. Well stated and extremely accurate.

This dude is worse than irrational Ole Miss Fans.

He is off of his rocker. He has acted no different than liz cheney and MTG. He doesn't seem to get that his constituents don't want his bs anymore. When these losers get power, it is hard for them to give it up. Dude is a total pos, as are his followers on here.

Even y'all have to admit that Johnson shutting down the House unexpectedly reinforces what Massie was saying...right?
