FWIW, Quinnipiac's September 10 poll had Hegseth at his worst aporoval rating ever: 57% disapprove - 32% approve - 11% no opinion.

The question was, politically, why didn't Johnson just allow the House to vote no on Massie's motion?

Other than Massie, what other Republican would have voted in favor? It just seems like an unnecessary risk. I was hoping someone would explain Johnson's thinking.

I don't think Hegseth should be impeached. If Massie's motion had been voted on, surely it would have lost.

I admire Hegseth and think he's done a great job. I'm a Christian Nationalist, so his comments don't bother me. MANY people hate Hegseth, though.

If you can find any recent poll were Hegseth has an aporoval rating of over 50%, I would like to see it. Of course, polls typically skew against Republicans.
