He’s also white passing. This is important as Black people continue to make the point about the two America’s. Somehow Police prove over and over again that they can apprehend armed and dangerous “white” men but easily will murder unarmed Black people often accused of petty crimes or no crimes at all. Cops will shoot Black men running away and who don’t pose any immediate threat.
To be clear, they did not know his name or where he was from when he was arrested. As fair skinned Arabs and Arab Americans, this is just one example of the privilege of our light skin
