No. Both his interference and the gun resulted in his death. If he didn’t interfere he would be alive. If he didn’t have a gun he would almost certainly be alive. The gun, not a problem usually, is part of the story of how this happened.

Not to mention in Minnesota, carrying a handgun as a CLL holder requires that you always have the CCL with you when carrying.

And this goes on to my broader point (made across multiple threads) of how so many of these ICE protestors are purposely agitated lemmings. As such, I'm hoping more behind-the-scenes focus is on the planners with the eventual outcome to be going after the organizers and funders.

Yeah, this administration is heavy on sound bites, despite the fact that snippets they produce won't be replayed to the people they need them replayed to. That's establishment stuff when MSM would actually show the admin's rhetoric.
It's a very Hannity, lowest hanging fruit approach to this stuff that isn't helpful IMO.
You can easily say "Look, I support the 2A, including the right to carry, including that right as it applies to protests. But at the same time, the officers involved are being screamed at that they should be killed, seeing spray paint all over the city calling for their murder - they're going to appropriately have their guard up. And if you decide to obstruct and get into a physical alteration with law enforcement while carrying a weapon in that environment, nothing good is going to happen."
