Yep. I fully expect this to get tied into the NRA and how the right is in bed with them by the end of the week.

It wasn't an attempt to overthrow the government unless you are as loony as the leftist that tried to murder innocent people.

Left talking heads have a lot more latitude to say crazy/offensive things. While Republican rank and file might have similar thoughts if roles were reversed, the talking head element can't get away with saying callous shite.

To take a two year-old tweet given in historical context and apply it here is ridiculous. Was this guy under siege by the government?

I think we can all agree that the only real disagreement with him here is as a matter of degree - not outright principle, no?

Meaning his premise is correct, but the comments are crass? No, the premise is shite to.

So, the 2nd Amendment is not in place in order to provide a means for an armed populace to shoot back at a tyrannical government?

No, the premise is incorrect. We are not living under tyranny.

That's not the premise - the premise is that the 2nd Amendment is in place to provide for an armed populace to shoot at a tyrannical government.

That's the original premise of the 2nd amendment. Correct.

Yes, the premise is correct.

His assumptions are overinflated and incorrect based on largely fear-mongering information pushed by media outlets, such as Vox.

There's no quartering of troops here. Trump's election wasn't Red Dawn. Democrats were the ones saying Trump voters wouldn't recognize the election outcome and now here we are, Democrats blaming a foreign power, collusion by the victor and department heads for their defeat. Now we have an unstable Democrat being subjected to the media and partisan vitriol trying to kill not just Republican politicians, but also aides and police.

You just don't see the problem. You equate Trump's constitutional election with a military coup or foreign invasion. It makes y'all look insane.

Markos Moulitsis is a piece of shite. Don't forget he also said this about the 4 Blackwater operators who were killed and mutilated in Fallujah in 2004:

"Let the people see what war is like. This isn’t an Xbox game. There are real repercussions to Bush’s folly. That said, I feel nothing over the death of merceneries [sic]. They aren't in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them."

Also, if you post on SBNation, you are supporting Vox.

We are parsing over the premise of the 2A and the premise of this guy's definition of tyranny.

I can live with that. Yes.

I meant his premise that the shooter was acting against a tyrannical govt. That idea is shite.
