Cuban tweet on 5% CA wealth tax:

Rho’s response:

“The government can LOAN Billionaires money who don’t have liquid cash to pay Wealth tax”

Twitter Link

quote:

Allow illiquid founders to pledge shares with a loan from the government to pay tax. The loan period is long but not infinite (e.g. 10 years). The loan is non-resource: at the end of the period, the loan is either paid back in cash, or the government assumes the shares.

The amount of Democrats, and even some slopulists who claim to be center-right, like Powerman, who cannot grasp the difference between net worth and liquid assets, is depressing.

frick all these people.

The actual frick?

That almost sounds like a weird form of money laundering. Here's some money so you can give it back to me.

You sure about that

Trading Volume and Activity

Khanna is recognized as one of the most prolific stock traders in Congress.

Data tracking platforms report he and his family have disclosed well over 13,000 to 17,000 individual trades since taking office.

Total estimated trading volume spans a wide range depending on the calculation method, with analyses placing historical trade volume anywhere from roughly $200 million to upwards of $600 million

RoRo couldn’t have GONE crazy in stock market as that phuck was already crazy. That said he couldn’t have started his day trading in the volumes he’s been doing if that sugar momma wasn’t supplying him the money in the first place

Classic negotiating tactic. Lets not even discuss the tax, THATS A GIVEN, now lets talk about how you can pay it.

Never let someone start the negotiation at point B.

Well we know there is white privilege how do we fix it.

Well the immigrants are already here, how do we assimilate them.

Well we know there are nine sexes how do we treat them fairly.

We know there is "gun" violence how do we restrain it.

Always the same, nah start with point A. You wanna tax, Im leaving.

With Anthropic and Open AI getting ready to file their IPOs in fall, there are going to be many many multi millionaires overnight and they are burning up the real estate phone lines in Florida.

They wont be billionaires, but they certainly dont want to pay the amount of taxes Cali already has AND you would be a fool to think Cali is gonna stop at billionaires, anyone the state "deems" wealthy is gonna get a surcharge at some point.

Do they really think the billionaires are just going to stick around and get taxed to death?

They're going to say, "The heck with this" and move to a different state. I'd much rather have them stay and tax them at their current rate than have them leave and get nothing.

Trading volume isn’t the same as net worth.

Classic play out of the communist handbook. Class warfare to obtain power.

This is foolishness on stilts. So until the shares sell, or ten years go by, the government gets no revenue. Why not just tax the shares when they sell like…we already do?
