They’re being paid to shovel snow. That makes it employment. Employers commonly require proof that someone is legally eligible to work. There’s nothing unusual about that.

I'm sure people who want to go outside during a blizzard can do so without the City imposing any consequences.
Planes were not flying when the snow was falling in New Orleans.
Whether it is called a ban or simply just isn't happening is splitting hairs.

I don't hare Mamdani. In fact I am glad he exists. His inevitable failure in NYC will set socialism in America back for generations. If for some reason he succeeds and pulls off a miracle and makes socialism work then he will prove once and for all American exceptionalism is real which undermines the entire platform of democratic socialists.

No they weren’t. I drove around Nola and stopped and chatted with Nopd for a bit. The interstate was closed but NO ONE was told to stay inside.

From what did you get the impression I was outraged? I don’t even have an opinion on it, nor do I know what exactly happened or was mandated.

I have always had to provide an ID to vote. I don't know what you're referring to. Unless this is another instance of a poster applying a random liberal talking point to me because I don't like politicians.
