Do you honestly believe this

NYC got an $8 billion bailout from the state then moved some money back on the books by delaying pension contributions, essentially borrowing against the future
There is a law that NYC must balance the budget every year so they do this creative accounting every year. Every mayor of NYC has had a balanced budget
He didn't do shite

Are you trolling or stupid. He didn’t make the money appear by farting into the wind..
This is exactly why you can’t bail out insanity. You only make them think they’re right..

I love hearing Tammy from Livingston’s views on New York politics

An actual Oyster PoBoy is smarter than this.

If Trump's new Fed Chair lowers the interest rate, Which is expected
New York City is gonna get loans to pay off the old debt, gain newer debt at a lower rate and claim they've repaid the debt
Oyster will celibate

What they did today stretches their obligation all the way to 2044
Unless they can generate more revenue going forward, this will snowball.
It's why so far Mamdani has been told no to all of his socialist ideas, such as free buses. That is why he is trying so hard to create new taxes to fund his ideas, because NYC can barely afford its obligations as it is

I see you didn't mention the 4 billion that was donated among other things that is not said to help get it there.

Check the source. From what I saw it’s like Democratic Underground or some such shite.

I think what he’s doing is refreshing.
He doesn’t hide his motives or even tactics. I’m pretty sure he does what I’d like all politicians to do, and stands in front of a board and shows where he has to take money from and owns it.
It’s up to the people who live there to judge whether they like living under this type of government or not.

this is the equivalent of saying, “I balanced my household budget,” because I paid the mortgage with a cash advance, skipped my 401k contribution, and convinced my parents to cover the electric bill.
hopefully even the dumb NY Liberals realize this is nonsense

It’s actually billions, not just millions. And deferring $850 million in debts owed by the pension funds until 2040.
The effects of Mandami will be felt long after he is out of office.

Great way to balance a budget. Just increase a revenue stream and then add a new one. Now the tricky party is meeting those anticipated numbers
