My sentiments exactly - but I don't think it is pragmatic. There will have to be some concession
I just demand that NO SUFFRAGE accompany any 'amnesty' agreement - At LEAST 20 years of self sufficiency must be demonstrated before granting rights to vote.
and NO AMNESTY for anyone who has survived off the welfare state benefits for more than 3 months = they ALL MUST GO = along with their offspring.

As long as we get the wall I'm okay with a graduated amesty over 5-10 year period for DACA "kids". They are basically assimilated already and probably most of them are productive. Might as well get them on a path to citizenship and get the wall in exchange.

I agree on no amnesty, but some sort of legal status will be necessary - IMO

Personally, I don't have a problem with giving legal status to DACA immigrants....., with just a couple of caveats. National Voter ID is part of the legislation and DACA immigrants are ineligible to vote in national elections. I guess if you had to give legal status to the DACA immigrants illegal parents they would have to be under strict laws that would immediately deport them for any serious crimes. Dims would never agree to my proposal because millions of illegals would never be eligible to vote Dim.

I think that is fair. Still needs to be done by statute as opposed to EO.
I am also not completely opposed to residency for working illegal ailiens. Our demographics will cause some legit issues if millions of working bodies are removed from the economy.

This is not a bad strategy but will end up in full legal status though the courts in a few years.
But it accomplishes a few of goals:
1. Get the wall.
2. Legal status slow walked.
3. Based fired up again after the courts rule that they are citizens.

It's fine to say this and I hope its doable, but Trump needs a win on the funding at this point after 2 years of GOP control and nothing.
