Not passing the buck on anyone but if the Democrats have no constraints then Trump’s spending will be inconsequential. Medicare for all would just about be the final nail in the coffin. A few hundred billion on Iran will be a bargain

So other than the debt, are you happy with MAGA?
I voted for him 3 times. I don't find much right now to be happy about.
Immigration is better than before. ICE is doing work, that's good. Economy has gotten better and economic growth is good.
I don't see much else that is good that is the result of Trump and his policies.

Blame it all on the last ones to show up at the dance.
Brilliant.
Brilliant.

Seems he is way more interested in the long game with foreign affairs than kitchen table issues for some reason.
There would be no kitchen tables in the USA if Trump hadn't done what he did in Iran.

Do you think you would have seen better or worse with Kamala? Do you actually pay attention and see how much judges or RINOs in Congress block everything he tries? Don’t ever see your frustration there with 535 people vs one man in the oval.

The next guy will have even more spending than Trump even if it's a republican. They will continue to double the debt every 10 years.
Unless there is of course a drastic change in government.
But the thing about inflation is it constantly makes the poor poorer while allowing the money creators to decide who gets money. And it's very unlikely to see a drastic change in government as a result.
Hasn't happened in my lifetime anyway and I'll be surprised if does. I feel like a guy going into Pawn Stars and Rick's like "The best I can do is pretend we'll do something about it during elections".

We need to cut entitlements.
That’s the only thing to cut. Well over half the federal budget goes to them. We spend more on our interest payments than we do the military.

Where was your outcry during the previous administration's reign?

The Democrats are not the party of fiscal responsibility. The GOP is.

only government and economic morons talk about presidents and debt. no president is responsible for any of the debt.

Doesn't matter.
The Democrats campaign on growing government.
The Republicans campaign on limiting it.
So when the deficit grows YOY and the GOP controls the federal government, hell yeah, it does matter.

quote:Seemingly you answered your own question?
Why do people keep calling Social Security and Medicare entitlements … I am entitled to the monies I payed into SS and Medicare.
quote:This is true for all taxes.
both of which have been held out workers paychecks for years. Unwillingly I might add due to federal laws.
quote:Unfortunately, what is “due to us” is exactly what Congress decides. Why do people think SS is some sort of savings account? It never was, and if it was Congress has already spent “your” money.
We want what is due to us
The government has played million of people. And we keep re-electing them at 95-ish percent of the time. It’s odd.

Nobody cares about debt because the dollar isn’t connected to anything and it’s the reserve global currency.
Posted on 8/21/26 at 6:24 pm to jp4lsu
If only Kamala had been elected we wouldn’t have any of these problems. Eggs would probably be 25 cents a dozen.

We would save hundreds of $$billions if we could eliminate the massive fraud in this country.
But one side is always trying to squash any investigation into the fraud.
Why is that? Explain that one.
