The MAGA movement should be relegated to late night infomercial status like Lyndon LaRouche in the late 80's and then only seen on independent TV stations.
LaRouche was running a grift. Trump is running a grift.
MAGA likes to call those that oppose them leftists consumed with TDS. Meanwhile, MAGA cheers on socialist policies and want to enshrined them like the government demanding equity stakes in companies, etc.
Trump starts a war, errrrrrr.....operation in the Persian Gulf without consulting our NATO allies and then DEMANDS that these same allies help him in said operation, then muses about no longer being allies with them because they won't come to his party and participate.

It cracks me up watching people that voted for Biden, then were forced to vote for Harris, thinking they hold some moral high ground.
I'm not a fan of OMB, but as a former progressive, I know evil when I see it.
As an atheist that voted for Bill Clinton, then Al Gore, then Hillary in the primary in 2008, I would never side with the likes of todays leftist. Nothing you offer or support has worked in the past nor will it work in the future. Thank goodness that dumb hooker didn't "win" last year.

If you are against progressive policies then you should oppose MAGA. Trump & Co. advocate a lot of things economically that are downright out of a socialist playbook.

Based on that logic, you shouldn't hate Trump.
Trump's 2016 platform was about one inch to the right of Bill Clinton's 1996 platform, yet you and your ilk want him killed over it.
Again, you hold no moral high ground. This is funny to witness.

Trump is not a hawk in any fashion. He has surrounded himself with the likes of L Graham and other hawks and has a personal attachment to the nation of Isreal.
He acted on bad advice from those he trusted.
I will always support our men and women in uniform, and respect Trump as our commander in chief.
That being said, I think the timing of this operation was a terrible political mistake, and he was falsely led by others to initiate the mission.

NATO has been the backbone of Western security for decades. It’s a defensive alliance. A deterrent. Article 5 has been used once, and it was for us after 9/11. US military presence in Europe is a strategic advantage, not charity. And now they’re the enemy because they won’t follow us into a unilateral war of choice?
Iran has been at war with the United States since 1979. Iran and their proxies have been chanting "Death to America, The Great Satan" since then. Iran and their proxies have been killing American Citizens and Soldiers since that time. Here is partial list below:

If he stuck to that platform it would be one thing. But government taking equity positions in private companies is socialist.

No buddy, that’s exactly the point lmfao.
Let’s see it in context:
quote:
Since I’m not a blowhard, I give Trump points for holding NATO members to account on defense spending.
However, most are at or near requirement now. Some NATO countries spend a higher % of their GDP than we do.
The US spends the most in total because we choose to maintain global military dominance, and that won’t change whether we are part of NATO or not.
Lmao.

Nice timeline. Here’s mine:
1953: The U.S. and U.K. help overthrow Iran’s democratically elected prime minister and restore the Shah’s dictatorship, leading to the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
1980s, part I: (Iran-Contra) Reagan administration secretly facilitates arms sales to Iran, uses proceeds to fund Contra rebels
1980s, part II: (Iran-Iraq war) The U.S. assists Saddam Hussein’s Iraq… empowering another future adversary.
1990: Gulf war
2003: 9/11 + The U.S. invades Iraq over alleged weapons of mass destruction that were never found, beginning a decade long war in the Middle East
2016 (JCPOA): The U.S. joins an international agreement with Iran which places strict, verifiable limits on Iran’s nuclear program… blocking any path to weapons development for as long as it is upheld.
2018: IAEA repeatedly verifies Iran’s compliance. BiBi visits Congress. the U.S. withdraws from the JCPOA following an administrative change and reimposes sanctions.
2019: Iran begins breaching the deal’s limits shortly after the U.S. turn.
2020: The U.S. kills Iranian General Soleimani in Baghdad, bringing the two countries to the brink of open war.
2026: BiBi calls Trump…
