He was 16 when his parents discovered it, 15 when they met. She was 40 when it was discovered. She would go to jail in America if it happened today.

No. She was married and had kids when she began grooming Macron.
Her kids are now adults, none have yet done anything but deny the charge that she's a tranny (one of the daughters looks especially similar to their mother). While the ex-husband was a bit of a recluse and died in the 00s, there is at least one picture circulating around from their wedding day.
What's not in question was that Macron was 15 when they began their affair and Brigette was 40 (that's a 25 year gap, for those who haven't had enough coffee yet this morning).
