Should have gone with Bluey over teletubbies.

He probably wasn’t born when teletubbies was a thing.

Maybe you can explain how the stock market going up helps with Trumps goal of financing the debt to a better rate.

Someone has to be able to do that, right?

No?

Hell, he's been bleeding all over this board for nearly a week. It's one of the more impressive melts I've seen here. He's truly giving it his all.

Why do you assume the ONLY alternative is the status quo?

That is extremely simple minded.

Was I okay with having the strongest economy in the world? Yes.

Do I believe changes needed to be made to our spending problem? Yes.

Do I think tariffs address any of that? Not one bit. Tariffs were the exact wrong vehicle that needed to be used, and none of you have yet to articulate a reason why they were correct other than some ill-founded support of Trump.

His cabinet is all over the place, he has Bessent and Navarro speaking out of two sides of their mouths and in complete contradiction, and I am arguing with a board full of people that cite any one of five theories, depending on what they best think supports their argument.

Trump could have used this political capital to reign in entitlements, given that money back to the people, continue crushing government waste, and that would have gotten us out of being a debtor nation is a way these tariffs never will.

Need I remind you that our media for 4 years told us that Joe was fully cognizant and capable of the job.

we had a 22% correction at some point that was going to bottom out as stocks now look cheaper, i think from here we move sideways until we get positive proof of economic improvement and powell cuts rates.

Why is it such an important factor to you that everyone must think the same? And if anyone thinks differently they must be silent?

Oh, yeah, I forgot...you're an ignorant coward. That's what they do...

it's appropriate that you have a picture of thomas sowell on your profile you're both never trump idiots.

reagan wielded tariffs like a battle axe, single-handedly saved the semiconductor market with them and it's the reason 90% of japanese branded cars sold in america are made in america.

We'll always be the strongest. That doesn't mean you just keep letting countries frick you on trade agreements.

DOGE has already stopped a shitload of this.

We don't know if they're the right/wrong vehicle at this point. The shite is just in it's infant stage but he has people coming to the table looking for deals which is more than any president in the last 40 years.

I actually agrees with this. Trump has always struggled to keep his people on brand. He could improve in that for sure.

You think the tariff play is about our position as a debtor nation?

Ohhhhhhhh, the WSJ?? Lol
Anyways, for me this is a nothingburger. I have had no problem understanding the administrations strategy and plans in their effort to place the US in more favorable positions in foreign trade.
This how Trump approaches most things. Its lime throwing a big rock into a pond and creating large ripples. It gets folks attention and puts Trump in a more favorable position to negotiate.

I guess this all comes down to trusting the man you voted for. I have no problem with this.
