Lumumba is now officially a convicted felon.

Former Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba pleaded guilty to conspiracy this afternoon in federal court. The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine.
This is the Mayor that got busted on the infamous FBI yacht in Miami a couple of years ago.
The feds indicted him for conspiracy, bribery, money laundering, and honest services fraud.
He gets sentenced October 15.
He was Jackson's Mandami. At least we kicked him out of office. Much more satisfying than leaving because of a conviction.
