Very slim, at least for Moderna/Pfizer. I'd think the chances are a little higher for J&J.

They're all going to get approved. The government has been pushing these vaccines, right or wrong, and they will replace anybody at the FDA who blinks. I'm not saying anything about whether or not they're safe, I'm simply saying that FDA approval at this point is meaningless. You may as well ask Elon Musk if Teslas are good cars.

If the vaccine has been out less than a year, how is it possible to know if there are long term effects or not?

I've asked MANY MANY MANY times and have NEVER gotten an answer.

People moving the goalposts get called out on this board all the time. That's all I'm doing

But be honest. The "government" is also moving the goalpost. Last month vaccine mandates were not a thing.

I'm not a doctor, but I don't think it is possible to know for sure what the long term effects may be.

Many infectious disease experts have said the vaccine will boost your immune response even if you've already had Covid.

I'll let the other 95% of this board handle calling out the government. They are usually on top of that lol.

Illegal to make paying customers take a vaccine...

LSU isn't open for business without tax payer funding...in addition to students and parents writing big checks.

The new President should be taken to risk on this...

Bet he won't sign for liability for making people take it should something happen to a student

Plus we don't know long term side effects

Therefore, long term effects are a legitimate concern for some.

Who? How many? Specifically which ones. Many infectious disease experts have also said if you have natural immunities, that the vaccine isn't needed.

I think that's fair. But my only point is don't use the lack of FDA approval as reasoning for not getting the vaccine if you (not you specifically) are just going to turn around and hate on/question the FDA once they do approve it.

Absolutely.

I'm not going to spend the time googling it all, but I've seen it a lot from infectious disease specialists. Enough so that I'm satisfied with that conclusion that the vaccine provides benefits to those who have already had covid.

I think it's a valid point that they only had emergency approval when they started pushing them. I agree that it's silly today to say "I'd take it if it was approved", because approval is a political decision at this point, not a medical decision.

This is astronomically stupid. Lack of FDA approval is a legitimate reason to not get it. It is one of thousands of legitimate reasons. The others don't just go away because the FDA approves it eventually, and the FDA approval isn't automatically worth a shite anyway.

(Sigh) I never said lack of FDA approval wasn't a valid or legit reason to not get it. I said it is disingenuous to have been using that as a reason, and to then question the FDA once they finally do approve it.

What happens if they approve one and not the other?
