The bidnessman kicked arse tonight, he is going to overtake Abraham. He started a little shaky but once he got comfortable he was the best of the night in my opinion.

He just needs to be more direct in answering questions.

Hard to stake put your position as "not a politician" when you evade direct answers like a 5 time incumbent.

The Trump move

Bad publicity is good publicity

Rispone got his name out there

Then he came out and had a big showing

I hate Rispone’s commercials. They’re the lowest form of pandering imaginable. I can’t see myself supporting him. Abraham came off like a real dipshit tonight. JBE is a greasy politician.

Voters like you who make decisions on who gives them the best fuzzy feels are simpletons.

I vote for whoever will best represent my financial and political interests, not who looks the most folksy or slick.

Yup. That's what I've been saying. He got better as the night went on

I changed to undecided after Rispone dropped the ad against Abraham and I’m still undecided after tonight.

However, I remain firmly anyone but John Bel Edwards and will have no problem voting for either Rispone or Abraham in the runoff

Rispone did himself a lot of good tonight. However, he still needs to take the anti-Abraham ad down.

I think this sums up most of us well.

Eddie finally put on his big boy pants about 30 minutes in

Before that and in his commercials he comes off as light in the sack.

Now he's rolling

You don’t come from a small wood frame house in NBR to the head of s multi million dollar construction company with 3000 employees by hiding in a corner.

Remember too, his company works only in the private sector. He doesn’t depend on government for business. That struck me. No government work.

I doubt enough people watched for him to overtake Abraham. 90+% of the republicans north of I-10 and even some of the democrats north I-10 are voting for him regardless of debate performance. That is a lot for Rispone to overcome. I will admit that I feel much more comfortable with Rispone being my #2 after tonight.

ETA: based on the number of votes that the post debate poll is getting, very few people watched the debate.

Abraham has gotten a run of endorsements in recent days though. I'm not the type to have my vote swayed by an endorsement but theres a lot of uniformed voters who will hear about the endorsements and blindly think "ok I guess this is who Republicans are supposed to vote for".

The big game changer is going to be if Trump gives an endorsement in the race. That's gonna sway Republican voters and frankly....given the people who would be in Trump's ear on this race (Scalise, Kennedy), he's likely to take their input and endorse Abraham.

The best fuzzy feels? The only thing Rispone says to the voting public is “I love God. I love my family. I love Donald Trump”

He’s the one clearly pandering to the pathos

Lets see if Rispone can bounce back after the bad ads he’s released. As of right now, I’m voting for Ralph, but would love to vote for Rispone if he does pretty well at the debate, because those ads of his have kind of turned me away from wanting to vote for him

And Rispone bounced back extraordinary well tonight in my opinion. I was leaning more towards Ralph before the debate and now I’m leaning back towards Rispone again. I think Rispone got a lot of undecided conservative voters tonight and he got back the voters that left him for the Ralph train.

Ralph did horrible tonight and reminds me too much of a typical Louisiana politician. Rispone isn’t a politician and I’m back on the Rispone train again!
