Louisiana baws. Can you please clone Senator Kennedy for the good of the country

I'm still low key pissed he passed on running for Governor. He could have said "I'm running" and done literally nothing else and until he moved his shite into the governor's mansion. Instead he opts out and leaves us with Trumpersticker Eddie to put Honor Code back in office for another 4 years.

I would trade both senators and swap MeeMaw for JBE. LA. could have a conservative Governor and our legislature would turn that clown into a lame duck with a quickness.

Kennedy is only on the trading block for a serviceable governor

I melted down quite a bit when Kennedy announced he was not running.

He was on my shite list after that. Waiting that long to make a decision froze the field and kept some good candidates out and we were left with Rispone and Abraham who may be good men and fine conservatives but they just did not have the chops to defeat an incumbent governor.

You have your chance this year, who is primary challenger for Cassidy?

He talks good, and votes more consistently that Cassidy, but don’t be fooled. Kennedy is as much a snake in the grass as folks like Marco Rubio and Mittens. Kennedy once campaigned for John Kerry and Mary Landreiu.

I heard Cassidy on the radio this morning touting some state bailout bill he wrote that will help Louisiana because our state budget is going to be destroyed. I can’t blame him for trying to help his state, but if he really wanted to help long term he would at least suggest that building your state budget on a sales tax system isn’t a model of stability and should be changed to a more stable source like property tax. I bet states who’s revenue come from property tax aren’t in a massive budget deficit right now.

Watch, we are going to raise taxes again due to budget shortfalls cause that is what we do. In a couple of years when all this is a distant memory, we will find (and dedicate) a surplus to some other useless government spending project. This way when the next disaster happens we can raise taxes again, it’s the Louisiana way.
