It's a fricking shame. No American soldier should be in Iraq. Period. The end.

A stock market crash and troops still in Iraq? I’m glad the adults are back in charge.

It could be worse. They could be critical of Kemp.

It’s a small footprint that has value in two primary areas 1) killing known terrorists before they launch plans or once they stick their heads up after launching plans and 2) preventing the all out genocide of the Kurds.

That area of Iraq is fairly modern and nice compared to other areas

None of what you just posted is worth a single American soldier getting so much as a splinter.
We invaded those peoples country based on lies. We were responsible for destroying their homes and cities based on lies.
It's been that way for decades(minus the four years Trump was president).
American foreign policy has been horrifically terrible. See Ukraine for example.
Our federal government uses its commie propaganda machine(MSM) to create bullshite narratives to mislead it's citizens.....
Guess what???? The rest of the world is catching on, and we the people who fund this insanity will pay the price.
Wake up people!!!!! Turn off the MSM and do some due diligence.

Thank you Mr. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Appreciate the candid opinion.

My son was just in Al-Asad two weeks ago on his way to southwestern Syria on a special operation.

While he can’t and shouldn’t tell me specifics (and I don’t ask), I can often pick up hints (like how great the DFAC was, and the nickname ‘Camp Cupcake’), I can sometimes figure things out a bit.

One thing that was hinted at was he was in Syria to help fortify a base there from missile attack.

So it seems, to me any way, that this type of escalation was expected, generally speaking.

FWIW…

Air Force, believe it or not, he was helping an Army unit, he has a specialty.

Which kinda speaks to how our military is thin, if you get me…

Al Asad was very nice in the early 2000s. Camp cupcake, DFAC 5 ftw. They also have a pool there where Sadams Olympians would train. It’s a huge strategic base and one of the few we didn’t shut down.

Was that called LSA Anaconda? My memory is fading
