Either might turn out fine. I'd prefer another Conservative Protestant, though.

FWIW, she's 46, he's 53. No doubt if she gets the seat, we won't have any trouble determining which female leans right when the group photo is taken.

it will be Amy

Cryin Chuckie is going batshit.

Chuck Schumer on Twitter: "Amy Coney Barrett is a judge on the Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit & on @realDonaldTrump’s pre-approved list for SCOTUS. She passed his “litmus test” on overturning Roe v. Wade & striking down the ACA. Here’s where she stands on Americans' big issues:"

Media will go full on Bork over her

She should show to the Senate with a picnic basket. Proceed to the table set up for her. Spread a red/white checkered tablecloth. Produce a bit of wine, cheese, crackers, some potato salad, couple pieces of fried chicken...

Sit there sipping wine and chowing down while the Dems go apeshit maligning her. Dismissively wave her hand when actually questioned, and state, "that's not what I've said/written, but whatever".

May as well since not one thing she says or does during the hearings will matter one bit, straight party line voting.

You know McCain's replacement will not vote to confirm, nor Jeff Flake. Then you have your folks like Susan Collins, so there are three "no" votes from the RINO Caucus.

Yeah but you have 7 Dems who are very vulnerable going into the midterms. A few would flip to potentially save their seat.

Kinda hard to Bork a woman but I bet the Dems try to Bork anyone that is nominated...

If he nominated Hillary or former President Obama they would Bork them.

Eh.. I didn't mean it like that... Perhaps I should have worded it more like "Should I be concerned." Sorry for perceived tone.

I think at lot of those Dems are fricking pissed over this.

Vote for Trump’s replacement, lose turnout on the left.

Vote against Trump’s replacement, lose votes on the right.

I am glad someone else picked up on their scare tactic talking point. NO MATTER WHO Trump appoints.... the democrats will say that women will die from coat hangars, be forced barefoot and pregnant with triplets in the hot kitchen all day, not allowed to work, and the chillrens and granny thrown off a cliff in wheelchairs.

You know why you always take two Baptist when you go fishing?

If you take just one they'll drink all your beer and smoke all your weed.

No problem.

You probably don't have cause for concern. I have a personal preference towards Conservative Protestants over Conservative Catholics though both would be fine over a liberal/leftist of any religious or non-religious persuasion.

Of course they would, I said similar last week. If Obama came out and said " you know Trump isn't doing that bad, he did win the election, and elections have consequences, so let's just grow up and try to win the next election" the left would turn on him and start attacking his kids.

They are insane.
