Not an aviation expert, so I can't offer any substantive commentary. But it does look curious. Maybe because of how it resulted, but any pilots or folks familiar with flight paths, please add your 2 cents.

think they reported at one time that the Blackhawk turned it's transponder off.
If that's the case NTSB will love it

Yikes! Any innocent explanation for that? Recycling?

Looks like the chopter maneuvered to target the plane, which seems to turned away at last moment.

Three army personnel on chopper.

I don’t know that area but perhaps they are supposed to get eyes on aircraft and then pass through. Sounds like they have a special corridor. Should be easy to do but people make mistakes.

If true this is looking more and more suspiciously intentional.

Not doing all the math, but the CRJ is 106.1 feet long and was supposedly moving at 139 mph.
139 mph is 203.9 feet per second.
That gives 0.52 seconds for the entire length of the plane to pass a given point.
Damn son I can barely figure out how to tip

If we just got attacked by terrorists again, Trump is going to frick some shite up.

Well, initial reports were that it was a DC police helicopter... I hate 'early reports" which are so damn garbled on details which end up being completely false.

I suspect the helo pilots just didn’t see it. I know it sounds crazy but it happens.

Also check if one was a tranny

Seems like with only 3 on board they had just dropped someone off.

Jon Scott saying their call sign was PAT 50 and that they were on contact. So that's not true then. Thru were in contact. He said the tower kept asking the black hawk if he could see the approaching plane and that's when the accident happened.
He said that helicopter call sign normally takes high profile flights with passengers like sec of def sec of army.

This was either intentional or gross incompetence. 60 plus people died tonight. Families devastated. This is unacceptable.

Looks to me like the plane was unaware of the helicopter and was just lining up with the runway for a landing.
