Some of y'all seem to think this is the end of this. Reading comprehension is hard. This is a pause on tariffs not a repeal on them. The ability to negotiate at a high level is not an easy thing to do. But to see posters here having the complete inability to understand even the basics of how negotiations work is shocking.

Two weeks ago this would have dropped the market 10%.

This week it pumps the market 7%.

It's all about framing the narrative.

Here is what you seem to be missing. Trump is a business man and a 1990s Democrat. He isn't a typical conservative. How do you not know this? It is almost like Trump spent the last few years blowing up the GOP and defeating them ALL.....

I posted many days ago this was about exposing China. It is also turning back the clock on the EU screwing the USA over.

It is so multi-faceted. People become brain- dead to the media.

Who makes USA antibiotics? Ventilators?

Senator Lee tweeted something about sending off hides to Chynah to be tanned.

I'll give you a hint. When DJT negotiates we don't really always know what he wants exactly. We have some idea of his long term goal, but we don't know what steps he will take to achieve that goal. What I do know is that he just got a 10% deal on everyone with china isolated and people thought he was merciful and the market shot back up

Sadly, the market is going to dance up and down until something solid starts to form on this “policy.” That 10% on everyone is not going to be in our favor as we try to build a coalition to further isolate China.

Can you even imagine the pretzel they had to twist themself into to criticize Trump, after 4 years of Biden/Harris?

Just shut up and take the "L"

I’m not talking about Trump, I’m talking about the people here who fashion themselves as conservatives and are anything but.

So you admit this "negotiation" is not over.

Take or leave it but I would advise you to recalibrate your expectations. There will be more bumps in the road.

Didn't mean this to be directed at you. Just your original post was the easiest to reply to

So you don't know what's going to happen or you do? You're all over the place and this is a sad topic. Like there aren't enough moronic "That's EXACTLY what I thought would happen" discussions.

What part of getting the best deal for America isn't conservative?

You made a serious assertion, can you expand on this claim?
When 10 year yields fell briefly to 3.85%, it looked like maybe they were threading the needle. In 2 trading sessions, it blew back out almost to 4.5%. That constituted one of the single biggest backups in 10 year yields of all time.

You can bet your arse that was noticed and responded to.

It didn't. It drove them lower. And they've barely budged since he announced the 90 day hold.

You are another guy that expects MAGA voters to have the secret Trump decoder ring. Sorry, I don't have an inside track to Trump's thinking. My advice to expect more bumps in the road is solely based on history and the current state of Trump's tariffs.

Yes because when you have a goal and your counterparts reach out it’s always best to ignore them right ? You like me and 330 million people in this country don’t know how deep his thinking on this is but the bit obvious part is to reduce penalties against American goods, open up restricted markets, heavy world pressures onto China for their practices as well as China’s strength globally including Bessent’s special talent of breaking currency, he’s managed twice before and that Chinese currency is more than ripe enough
