Keep in mind this is a poster who tried to slip in a daily kos writer who makes toddy look pro Trump as a credible source relating to Trump without actually citing who the writer was.
We're not talking about somebody who can even fake a claim of being level-headed on the subject

Since they were unable to come up with 38.5", are they to be trusted on anything else?

They did this just so libs can add to the number of "lies" told by Trump. It's just to add to the running total because they know no one will remember the exact details a year from now and people can say "Look! He's told this many lies! Orange man bad!"
