I believe this resolution has to go to the house floor, then senate committee, then senate floor.

Which mean it'll be May 15th or later by the time it passes

But if homey extends the deadline this be ready.

And what docpolls know? I’d go to a baseball game today.

If you want to open your business and have staff to do it, then do it.

If you want to go to open businesses then do it. If no then stay home. It’s not hard.

I think they are just using it as a threat to the governor. Why would the governor extend stay at home order on Monday, if it was going to be overturned on Friday?

Sounds like the LDH is going to recommend the extension, from what Phillips sounded like yesterday.

ETA: either this resolution or the petition will happen if it's extended, IMO.

I agree with all of this. She's definitely going to recommend an extension...

JUst about every poll shows the public favors shelter at home orders until the gates to President Trump's Phase ONe are opened.

Link to polls showing Louisiana residents favor shelter in place

Not only that, but the state of Louisiana passed the gating period before phase 1, but some regions didn't. The governor used regional data to make a statewide decision. It was beetleheaded.

What did she say to make you think this? I can’t fathom what these people see in the data to recommend that as LOUISIANA is farther ahead on this than most states that are opening up.

Tanner Magee asked her about the data and their modeling. She mentioned that they analyze 3 regions of data per day. He then asked if the data that was reviewed yesterday looked like cases were increasing or decreasing. She said they were increasing for the 3 regions they looked at yesterday. Then he asked her about the data from the day before, and she said one of the three regions from the day before looked to be increasing, too.

It is my understanding, if JBE would just say he is not extending the SAHO, then Miguez would pull HRC58.

So asked yourself, why doesn't JBE just tell us (now!!) he is not going to extend the SAHO??

Thanks. I take that as they are talking about day to day fluctuations, which will lead to always being closed. Unbelievable.

Stop killing businesses you power hungry bureaucrats.

I think this is exactly what will happen.

I think this is what most hope will happen. It's all posturing and pressure. Will JBE force the hand of the legislature, or will he bend a bit so that they don't have to take action. What does he want to portray? I wouldn't be surprised if he forces their hand, so that he can point fingers later.

That was also asked yesterday. Apparently he doesn't know what he's going to do until Sunday/Monday when he's presented with the data modeling.

They were also asked yesterday if they used modeling for the governors estimate that we were going to run out of ventilators

point fingers at what? The fact that opening things up DIDN'T make things worse? This is a losing issue for him.

This resolution is not to end the stay at home immediately. It's to make sure its not extended past the 15th

If they are forced to suspend the order and 15 days later JBE reinstates it, he will be crucified. I don't think he is that bullheaded. That is, unless there is a ridiculous spike in cases not tied to increased testing.

You mean the new LDH Secretary that DumBel appointed in mid-April? She came in the door with marching orders...extend this shutdown as long as possible, even if you have to make up BS reasons for doing so.

Honor Choade plans to extend it, let’s see if we finally have a few sets of balls in the legislature

These people should not have power over us.

When I say "should not" I mean that we should remove their power over us.

What has happened in the past 2 months is unbelievable.

Any increase in cases, even if it's due to an increase in testing. He's already shown that he's willing to manipulate the interpretation of data if it fits his narrative.
