His sentiment is about marines capturing an island, but he chose one of the bloodiest battles of the pacific to make his point. I’d rather not have another Iwo Jima moment with thousands of American soldiers dead or wounded

See my previous comment about, in my perspective, Iwo Jima is associated with American tenacity, determination, grit, patriotism…..and perhaps I should have also said resolve and ability as well. That’s the sentiment that I draw from it. Which, if I’m correct, then, leaving out for a moment who’s saying it and one’s distaste for him, it actually seems like a pretty good reference IMO.

It’s telling to me that those on this board that support this war with Iran (or humanitarian effort, regime change, Israeli protection…or, rolls dice…whatever you call it today…anything but war) are on the same side of this as Lindsey Graham. Full Stop.

Guy running against him in South Carolina has a family (wife recently just had another baby). South Carolina needs to get this right and vote for Paul Dans and get Lindsey the hell outta there.
