You see the world through the lens of civilization vs barbarism.

We see the world through individualism vs collectivism.

I'm definitely empathetic to the way you see the world.

The problem is, though, that the reason barbarism has been able to spread like wildfire is BECAUSE of the rejection of individualism in favor of collectivism.

Republicans for YEARS have cosigned one bill after another furthering the cause of collectivist ideals. If radical libertarians like me were in charge, guess who doesn't get funded anymore? The universities and public schools that have brainwashed so many people to believe the insane shite they do now. That would just be the start.

But no, we're going to keep electing "conservatives" that grow the absolute living shite out of the government every single year and perpetuate this insanity.

The main flaw in libertarian thinking is the idea that everyone in society are fundamentally good and will just go along with libertarian ideas if they’re ever implemented; instead of doing what people always do, which is look out for their own best interests. Libertarian theory is just as utopian as socialism/communism

You arent wrong. But there are now tens of millions of people here who don’t belong here. Millions more who have been allowed to pretend they are a gender other than what God intended.

It’s going to take government powers to drive them out, and libertarians do not have the stomach for that

Might be the worst take on this board this week, and it’s only Monday.

Libertarians are open borders?

I don't follow them really.

My man, you need to listen to some Hans Herman Hoppe.

He's a giant figure in libertarian circles.

I'm convinced that everything Massie has done since Trump returned to office is to help the Democrats win.

As soon as we run Massie out of DC he will leave the GOP; unless he gets one of those "Republican" spots on MCNBC or The View.

Bud, one of the main reason we're libertarians is because we know a lot of people are NOT good. This is why we don't want the worst of the worst, politicians, having a monopoly on power.

Libertarians are to "open borders" as Democrats are to "socialism": We'll get it right this time!

. I don’t see any history of libertarian philosophy being a part of the right anytime before Reagan.

Our foundational government documents were incredibly libertarian for their era

Maybe if all you follow are the Oliver Chase's of the party. Ron Paul definitely did not approve of open borders

There are two types of libertarians. Milton Friedman explains this well.

The group that includes Milei, Rand, Massie etc believe open borders are an assault on private property.

It's not that we don't have the stomach for it.

We just recognize what this means when the Left gets power again. You've sanctioned THEIR use of powers in similar ways.
